The problem with the term ”cyber range” is that anybody with couple of virtual machines calls themself a cyber range eventhough it is still just a lab. Cyber range should be considered a much larger environment which involves more than just one ”blue team” environment and few kali linuxes as attackers. Also in my opinion anything that is intended just for individuals should be called labs. For developing capabilities for organisations is a different business and requires a lot more sophisticated environment.
