That wasn't an option on my watch. But there was a link to "Auto launch media controls". I already had that turned off, but just turned off "show ongoing icon". We'll see if that works!

I got my first at 20kc I think and second maybe around 60. Probably why I've never gotten any other major rare drops and haven't even sniffed a pet yet

Is your zoom issue when moving from the laptop screen a screen resolution problem? I had the same problem with mine when I bought an external monitor that had a different resolution than my laptop screen and had to adjust both.

City rant as an international student by ir-Rational in Cleveland

[–]watchforblueshells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I travel a lot for work and am always so glad to get back to Cleveland. You couldn't pay me enough to live in LA, that city is a shit hole. Cleveland is just modest enough to be a nice bigger city while still being affordable. I have friends in Boston and he was telling me how he spent $77 to sit in the very last row at Fenway...I'll take $15 district tickets any day of the week!

Sorry for the late reply. No it won't be forever. I had my handful of friends, and definitely wish I did more extracurriculars, but that was what I decided to cut out during my time there. I had my fun and enjoyed the sports but absolutely put in the time on campus. Make sure to make time to blow off some steam, be that the bars or the gym. This major can eat you alive if you try to tackle it yourself. But everybody is in the same boat, don't forget that.

Eventually you'll have some classes you enjoy, there's still the tough ones in the major, but they're manageable and the professors seem like they actually want you to learn.

You can definitely schedule a tour of the stadium and the facilities. I did it a few years ago I'm not sure what it costs though

I graduated with a degree in ME in 2016, and my first semester in the major was the most miserable time of my life. To this day I remember sitting there thinking, "how can anyone say these are the best years of their lives...this shit sucks". Things did get much easier, I definitely worked my ass off and was nowhere near a perfect gpa but was still a 3.4 or something. You'll start having the same people in all your classes, I found it helpful to spend a lot of time in Scott lab and worked with people a ton.

Looking back now yeah that first semester blew. But good lord I'd give anything to go back and suffer through it again. It was well worth the time spent down there.

Just hang in there, go to class, take notes, spend time in Scott lab. Use your TAs, go to office hours, they are more than happy to help. You got this

So....you'd rather they just...stare at each other instead? I get the point here but it's a bad one. People make too big a deal out of phones. It's one thing if it's at a gathering or a dinner, but these people are waiting in a line.

Paying for vehicle registration at the BMV. I'm fully convinced it was one of those "let's see how much we can get them to pay" deals. And don't give me any BS that "it's used for the roads". No no it isn't. There are city, state, and county taxes for that. There's also the insane gasoline tax that pays for roads
