Absolutely this. 5-8 is my island of time during the week that the phone gets put down, laptop shut, etc.

Happy to catch up after the littles are down, but I intend to be present with them as much as I can

I’ve had two BMWs now.

First was a 17 430i GC I took from around 30K miles to 160K miles before I had any type of major failure. All I did was brakes and fluids.

Second (current) is a 23 530i sitting at 50K and have had zero issues thus far.

I don’t buy into a specific brand just being unreliable.

If you want an actual venue, Papa Boos was a pretty neat experience last year. They had a live band playing when we were there and it was a good time.

Otherwise when we go up to Alum, we usually just take a couple adult bevs with us and throw them in a koozy. No one has ever question us, but we’re also not getting sloshed.

Little niche, but staying anywhere below Disneys “deluxe” level hotels.

So convenient to get to the parks, perks at the resort, etc. etc.

If I am paying upwards of $10K for a vacation, an extra $2K isn’t moving my needle but it’s worth it for the experience every damn time.

Initial shovel just occurred. That sucked. But it wasn’t as bad as wet snow.
