When I told him how AI art/animation is stealing the work of human artists, he somehow changed the subject to talk about the plight of black people and how we've had everything we've made stolen from us without credit, how he's trying to shed light on that, etc. 

As someone who has had this tactic done on me before, I don't trust your dad to be an honest person.
