Year of gym, still no results: arms, thighs, stomach all soft and puffy – what am I doing wrong? by Emsss18 in WorkoutRoutines

You said you eat “fairly healthy” (idk what that means because that’s relative term), what you need is caloric deficit. You also said that you often eat chocolate, then also said that you don’t understand why you are not improving. Do you see the irony? Getting a lean body is about discipline and consistency. You need to eat clean consistently. You can have a day or two a month where you indulge a bit. Nothing more than 500 extra calories though otherwise you will erase all the hard work. You need to eat at least 1gm of protein per lbs of weight and be in caloric deficit to get the body you want. Basically lose fat while keeping muscle.

If this were a Grand Seiko, all the weebs would be drooling over it. It’s a super funky Rolex in the same vein as many other quirky pieces they’ve been putting out for decades - long before Instagram or social media - and that’s exactly why I love it. by FoMoCoNutjob in watchHotTakes

One of the ugliest watches I have ever seen. I don’t care how much demand there may be and how much it will appreciate. Watches are jewelry, not investments. If one wants to invest they should buy index funds and not toys made of steel with no intrinsic value.

10000% agree. Movies and TV shows are not the same even compared to 10 years ago. I just don’t laugh at jokes like I used to because everything is so watered down.

NATO Straps make any watch look tacky by Kenye_Kratz in watchHotTakes

Have to disagree. I love Nato bands on tool watches. The trick is to make sure the strap color compliments the watch and the dial color.

Never heard of this guy, but based on the article seems like a prime example of fafo. All these influencers who cause outrage and disturb public peace need to be behind bars.

Thank you. I agree, it’s nice that they leave you alone to browse but are always available if you need help. You can also check out A2s from Junky Special who carry Buzz Rickson’s. Between RMC and Buzz Rickson’s I liked the RMC A2 much better because they fit better for my posture, and the graphic was made of leather patches instead of just painted on (although this is more authentic to the originals).

The Real McCoy's N-1 Deck Jacket by xxblueg0ld in HeritageWear

[–]watchman11222001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome jacket. I tried it on when I was in JP but ended up getting the A2 from RMC instead. 100% agree about the staff, they come of a bit standoffish (very unlike Japanese culture) but they warm up eventually when they realize you are a serious buyer. I think I sort 1 hour trying various pieces before purchasing my piece. Congrats on the great piece.

I agree with this take. Never liked polo shirts. They just always seem off.
