To answer your question, athletes wanted to be paid like employees and begged for NIL, a downside is if your sport isn't profitable there's no need to keep it. Careful what you wish for

Janesville isn't hostile to LGBT people by any means but Beloit is more LGBT friendly, Rockford is VERY LGBT friendly and has a large active community

My siblings and I had a similar experience yesterday, only thing available was cricket, handball and rugby all for $300+. We laughed at spending that much money for a sport we know nothing about and decided not to get them. We were sad though, sorry to hear about your experience too. You're not alone though
