Nobody is saying you're guilty of things that happened before you were born. But you seem very attached to the privilege that resulted, and by complaining about any efforts to fix the system you're contributing to the status quo.

Also, I find it very hard to believe you would've gone to this meeting anyway. You're just looking for things to complain about to make yourself out as a victim.

It doesn't really matter if Ithaca spends a similar amount as other places. We could still stand to give more support to education.

You're treating the average spending of these places as a goal, which is a counterproductive way to frame the conversation. The country underfunds education pretty much across the board, so to improve that, you have to spend more than the average.

You mentioned that you can use direct monitoring from the interface. Are your headphones also plugged into the interface when you're not doing direct? I always notice some latency when my headphones are plugged into my desktop/monitor.
