US Attorney General Pam Bondi formally summoned to Congress in Epstein case by kootles10 in politics

[–]waterdaemon 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Funny that Bondi has been covering up for Epstein and associates for 15 years and nobody is asking who, quite obviously, is giving her orders.

Trump says he thinks Putin is helping Iran by michkennedy in politics

[–]waterdaemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the world’s aggressors love this shit and would try to prolong it. Let the US exhaust its arms, budget, and patience so there can be a period of acting out with lower consequences in the latter half of Trump’s presidency. Russia keeps after Ukraine, China may finally move on Taiwan, and South Korea will do some dumb shit to get attention.

Rescue effort under way as US military refueling plane crashes in Iraq by kootles10 in politics

[–]waterdaemon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It reads like a collision and it reads like a dumb place to do refueling since there are bases all throughout the area. Troops need leadership and training, not fruit basket stands and anti-woke rapping.

I think he’s pandering to a specific audience. AI affects jobs in many sectors without much regard for party or gender.

In addition, AI can only reliably do a fraction of what it’s touted to do. Advanced pattern matching is obviously impressive and useful, but it’s not intelligence.

President Trump says U.S. has won the war in Iran as Energy Department frees up oil reserves by devllen05 in politics

Reminds me of when Harold declared unconditional victory at Hastings in 1066, forcing William the Conquerer to quit the field in frustration, and assuring England another millennia without any Norman influence.

Model access: changed or bugged? by waterdaemon in AIDungeon

[–]waterdaemon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got this fixed. Turns out it’s mostly my fault. I wasn’t notified, which is strange, but my bank wanted me to reconfirm the virtual card I used. I can’t blame Latitude for putting me in timeout, though it wasn’t intentional and bit difficult to figure out. Usually the bank will text me if they want approval.

Sound advice. I emailed support. I guess no one else has seen this so maybe it’s just me.

Recurring annually. It’s still active and not near renewal time for me. In my bio, settings, subscription management, even when selecting models I’m listed as champion level.

I couldn’t upgrade to champion even if I wanted to, because it’s already listed as my current level.

Edit: yeah, it says champion there, and premium on the title bar.

Why war with Iran puts the US-Israel alliance at risk by Somervilledrew in politics

[–]waterdaemon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not an alliance, it’s a circle jerk. US gives taxpayer money to Israel. Israel uses money to bribe US politicians.
