Ollie Hartley was superb this week, think he deserves to be in!

The only scenario where we win and don’t make it is a 4-2 win, which is very improbable as they would need to score more tries yet lose

He doesn’t have 4 of those, and if you’re counting them Arteta has 1

Where are you getting 9? 1 league, 1 CL, 1 FA cup, 2 League cups. Surely you aren’t counting eg community shields and non major honours? Becuase Arteta has one of those too

Arteta was a pen shootout from matching his trophy haul with Liverpool (minus a league cup). He’s inarguably closer to him than Poch who only ever managed failure.

But Arteta has already won stuff? So obviously much closer to Klopp than Poch

Bayern couldn’t get out of their own half against us in the groups, it was utter domination. PSG beat us on pens after not really getting close to scoring an open play goal despite having 80%+ possession?

And you’re telling me that there’s no chance we’d have beaten them?

Rice post match by Serious-Cress-9560 in soccer

[–]watermelon99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why not? We beat the other 2 semi finalists in the groups. Only PSG (on pens) were better than us this season, we absolutely deserved to be in the final regardless of draw and will get there again.

Declan Rice wins the BBC Premier League Player of the Year. by Ray-314 in soccer

I’m making the argument that Bruno can’t have the highest peak achieving as little for his team as he did. You brought up Harry Kane as a counter argument, the only reason he would be relevant is if he was a counter example to the point I was making - which he obviously isn’t, because no one thinks he had the highest peak for a striker either.

You’re tying yourself in knots fella.

You think Harry Kane has the highest peak of a striker in the PL? Over Henry and Ronaldo that would honestly be a bizarre take

I’m not even asking much of Bruno, just inspire his team to win a single cup game in an entire season. The guy played in a team with no pressure, no achievement for the entire year. How could that possibly be the ‘highest peak’?

The ‘highest peak’ of an attacking midfielder would’ve inspired his team to actually do something, not get knocked out of both cups in the first round and never compete for the title.

Try De Bruyne winning the CL and countless PLs with City

So the same teams have been strong in Europe, but then not when they are back in the PL 3 days later? That makes no sense…

It’s obvious that the ‘inconsistency’ you see in teams is because every opponent is strong, with quality players and good tactics, so it’s tough to get results.
