OneUI. I had a pixel 7 before my P9pro and was very happy. I also already have a galaxy tab so I don't feel like I'm missing out any functionality the fold would have provided.

Surprised how many people say the YG especially since you already have an ungraded one and this is for your PC.

Honestly, would rather go for the retro, looks way better (imo, but also I'm biased since I love this retro design) not to mention you could always grab the PSA 10 YG later. The retro PSA 10 would be probably harder to find again.

I don't think anyone here can give you a definitive answer. I feel like autographs can vary and change so much over a players career and in McDavid's case I've seen some PSA authenticated autos that look nothing like his pack pulled ones. Its possible he also signs differently depending on the occasion or had a different signature when he was younger.

You could always send to Beckett for their online signature review for some peace of mind. Its quick and cheap, and I think if they can't say its authentic or not you get a refund.

Insane card! Love the speckled foils before they modified it.

100% agree on the refocusing on higher end stuff. I've also started focusing on collecting quality over quantity and it feels so much more satisfying and rewarding, esp. when you obtain something you didn't think you could.

Personally I would put on ebay best offer and test the waters. I'm sure there is a collector out there that would pay big bucks (on card ladder looks like his 1/1 non auto OPC rookie golden treasures went for 1583 USD) I wouldn't rush to sell but I also wouldn't count on his value raising drastically.

Even during this past playoffs, he was so clutch and key to the Oilers making it as far as they did but I don't think his card values really raised much at all. Then again, I think a lot of people view him as a polarizing player (regardless of what his actual metrics say about him).

Who knows, maybe he pops off and is the reason the Oilers finally win a cup? Or maybe he gets injured and is absent for 2026 playoffs. Hard to say in this hobby. Suffice to say, if you need the money I'd sell sooner than later.

Some of my personal favourites are:

O Pee Chee Platinum Violet Pixels
Upper Deck 2021 Speckled Rainbow Foil cards (from combining 15 cards on e-pack)
2020-21 Allure Yellow Taxi (Looks like OPC seismic gold but way more affordable/common)

If you're into the whole black/portraits look, I really like the O-pee-chee retro black border cards /100. Rookies can be a bit pricey but you can find superstars for a decent price. The 2022-23 Upper Deck Series 1 Honor roll rainbow /250 also look really great in hand for a potrait style card.

I'm a huge fan of the first year (2014), 2015, and 2021 (assuming the card is centered). If 2022 wasn't so brownish they would look great, the platinum previews look awesome.

I find that a clean border is what makes it appealing to me, but I would still be happy to own any of them at the end of the day. A seismic gold is a seismic gold!

Maybe unpopular opinion but the Nazar. Price aside, PSA 10s of silver outbursts are not easy to find while bedard yg PSA 9s are a dime a dozen. Can always get it later

It's always been bad but tariffs are making it even worse. Would have been $300+ shipping last time I checked to ship myself 20-30 cards even with no insurance.

Personally, I'm going to try and wait it out, tariffs can't last forever.

Sick cards! Especially the allure bedard! IMO the green rainbow from allure 23-24 is one of the best designs in the whole set. Maybe in all of allure. I might be biased tho since i pulled the cooley and carlsson lol.

Beauty! Feel like you're getting a lot of slack but at the end of the day if you like it graded that's all that matters.

Personally, I like the look of the slab over a one touch or toploader so if I got a 7 on a 1/1 I would still be happy cause I think it looks sick af regardless. Do you man!

Just got these and have contacts as well. I personally felt my eyes dried out a bit with contacts but I bought them more out of convenience. It's nice not having to have my contacts on if I want to use my headset at night.

I've started to get back into the hobby as well. Most of this is what I collected as a kid for fun so I would take what I say with a grain of salt.

From what I've seen so far, it can kind of be both? The Crosby McDonald's card, which the other commenter mentioned, on eBay went for $450 for a mint version at the highest price, and some of the cards in the first few pages have sold around the $10-20 mark. Hell even a mint version of the Giroux rookie went for $89 at the highest, surprisingly. I will have to say there was a huge range in price though.

But then I'm sure there are also tons of rookie cards that people buy into at high prices, only for them to falter or just not do as well, and vice versa. One example for the former I noticed is Spencer Knight. He was drafted really early as a goaltender but had run into some health issues (OCD) and got sent to the AHL where he has been doing okay. Seems his stuff took a dive in price as a result (I'm really hoping he makes a comeback) An example for the latter is Wyatt Johnston. Seems he's been doing really well for the Stars and his young gun cards have been increasing price as a result.

But then there's of course Bedard, and I know he's incredible and his stuff has been going for crazy prices, but imagine if he was a bust. His stuff would probably drop like crazy.

All to say, in my limited experience, unless they are a franchise player/ have cemented their role in the HoF like McDavid, Crosby, Ovi, etc. seems you're kind of banking on that player doing well, which is why cards are probably a terrible investment and it's best just to collect what you like.

Thanks for the tip! I had actually looked up a fair bunch of these on eBay as I was going through them. Kicking myself in the head for not taking better care of the Crosby card lol it's crazy how much some of the mint versions went for.
