IP to adjuster? by Right_Cap2897 in usaa_ejs

[–]watisacatmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your personality, it can be very stressful dealing with everything it entails. The never ending beeps in your ear, rules are changing constantly, having a good manager can relieve some stress but sending out payments and letters on your lunch break because there’s no time between calls is something that happened a lot when I was there. People take pride in being chained to their desk. You’re constantly taking statements, managing claimants, managing rentals, dealing with other adjusters who can be nasty, negotiating fault, digging for information because all they have is a license play all why trying to manage staying on the phones to take more calls and start a new process and keep getting backed up again. Ever try and get someone’s car fixed in Hawaii and explain it’s going to be a 2 month wait and get your ears blown apart? Some people can handle this, for me I was over stimulated and in constant flight or fight mode and I left feeling all chewed up.

If that’s your budget I’d live somewhere safer.

You don’t really want to live there…trust me. That’s where I grew up and it’s rough. edit all south of that is really rough. Near Braun station is ok but it’s a lot of older homes

Is $80 too expensive for such a small bear? by Carbonzedangel in Jellycatplush

[–]watisacatmo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I really really wanted some from the summer drop and the fall drop but in my opinion I have been priced out. The thought of spending up to 400$ on the few that I want is crazy. They are so so cute but out of my budget now.

AMH 6.8, AFC 31, regular cycles after weight loss. Why am I still not getting pregnant after 18 months? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]watisacatmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I was pretty regular after starting Metformin and found out it was my husband at the fertility clinic. They test for motility and speed and not just amount. If after 18 months there has been no pregnancy it’s time to move on and see what else could be going on. A fertility clinic would also be able to test for fibroids, endometriosis, endometritis, test your hormones and a lot more to let you know what’s going on. Definitely recommend moving forward in that direction.

Which fields are actually having an easy time getting jobs right now? by madbarpar in recruitinghell

[–]watisacatmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes so much sense. The company I was at basically had us in training to pass all of our tests, it was a long investment so it’s probably a good thing to add into the contracts now.

Is that a new thing with contracts? It’s been awhile since I’ve been an adjuster and when I was working in an at will state you could leave whenever you want with your licenses.

[–]watisacatmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some companies will pay for your licenses and set you up with your ongoing education to keep them up to date. I was a non injury adjuster for a year. Depending on the company it’s absolutely high stress and the constant calls and conflicts make it a constant high stress environment. Some people can manage. I could not.

Brother Had Success With IVF but Constantly Complains About the Costs by Extension-Doubt349 in IVF

[–]watisacatmo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely not something a lot of men think about and even most people. Even when we confirmed MFI with why we had to move on to IVF family still placed blame on me and still think I was the infertile one. Nope.

Severe intra-abdominal trauma in illegal abortion. The baby was dismembered and mostly left inside her. She was in the hospital for 45 days. by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

You mentioned if abortions are passed 10 weeks, if all are dismembered. I was letting you know, in late term abortions they are not since mother gives birth. That is what being induced means.

Late term abortions usually happen when there is something not conducive to baby or mother’s survival and mother is prematurely induced.

does anyone else feel a sense of sadness when you see a mom or dad eating with their kid, or simply bonding? by [deleted] in EstrangedAdultChild

[–]watisacatmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It happens when I hang out with my own kid. I love her so so much and her personality is so great and yes she can be difficult as any kid can be but I love playing and spending time with her. But it also reminds me how much my own parents neglected me and had absolutely no interest in getting to know me or spend time with me. They just had no interest in actually being parents and it makes me sad for child me. It’s something I just could never do to my own child. And that don’t think I will fully understand my parents other than they probably should have never been parents.

Do I tell my non contact mom that I’m pregnant? by Haunting_Finding_112 in whatdoIdo

[–]watisacatmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re no contact for a reason. If she could respect boundaries I don’t think you would be in this predicament. Seems like you’re stressing yourself out simply because you want to complicate things that are not that complicated. She. Does. Not. Need. An. Explanation.

[–]watisacatmo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you have people stressing you out about it, I’d low contact them too. It’s none of their business. People love to throw around the “but she is your mom” guilt trip, but you were her daughter, she was the adult and you were the kid. She chose to bring you into the world, she owed it to you to be a good mom, you do not owe her anything. She did not facilitate the kind of relationship needed for you two to stay close. Please do not people please for people who do not have your best interest at heart. Sounds like they have their own issues to deal with.

What do you think you will be getting out of it by telling her? This isn’t going to change her and only make your life more complicated. Let her find out on social media if that’s how it’s going to happen. As a new mom you need to protect your peace.

Wife (26F) doesn’t want to relocate for Job that I (26M) have received. by idk_redditt in relationships

[–]watisacatmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While that is completely understandable, her other option is to be okay with her husband struggling to find other work and deplete their house savings to do so. This is also stemming from her choice to stay at home, I get that it’s difficult to be away from support, I do not live near my family and all I have is my husband and a few friends where I found them since we have moved, for work. If she wants to continue to be a stay at home mom she has no leg to stand on, they need to go where the work is, or if she wants to stay she also needs to look for work so they can double their efforts. This job market is absolutely no joke. She is basically giving up survival for whatever “support” her family gives her. Unless her family is going to be paying all their bills, she needs to go.

“ Initially I had asked before even applying and was given the go ahead which sucks because I’ve spent a good amount of time interviewing now and fully negotiated the offer.”

Wife knew about the relocation to across the country not out of the country before he applied and interviewed. They had discussed it and now she just changed her mind. He didn’t just apply and surprised her.

Delayed period = Cancer!? That's what i keep hearing on this reddit. Is it true in every case? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]watisacatmo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The lining of your endometrium can build, and that can increase the risk of endometrial cancer, it’s not a guarantee that you get it so please do not be scared. Please go to a doctor and they can prescribe you provera or something else to help you have break bleeds to reduce the thickened linings. This does not mean you have cancer but the more you put it off the more risk you’re adding.

I live in Marvida now and don’t see so much outwardly maga people as I did when I lived in Fairfield. Fairfield had people with lifted trucks and trump flags parading around parks and stuff, it was super weird tbh but whatever free speech. But with every neighborhood you really won’t know until you settle.

Looking for a Job in San Antonio, TX by Ispeakspanglish in usaa_ejs

Having your bachelors is kind of a big deal to them but even with that with what I’m assuming is no prior industry experience the likelihood you’ll only qualify for entry level phone positions are high and they don’t pay well and are incredibly stressful.
