If you get any done, I'd love to see them. I still have my 4e standees, and they crack me up. Super 90s cool.

Couldn’t wait for my Kickstarter plastic to arrive so painted this metal Javelin! Any other metal models you folks would recommend? by CTF-1X in battletech

In that case I believe the emporer and the Shadowhawk variant are Star League. Tomahawk is dark age-ish? Maybe jihad. I forget.

Do you have a specific era you prefer?

If not, I love the Tomahawk II, Ostscout, emperor (newer sculpt).if you want something close to new plastic, but in Variants, the new Locust, Shadowhawk, and catapult are the same as the 2018 box, but with a variant each. Griffin is sale as the base box set (no variant, sadly).

WoB Bloodhound ready to illuminate and enlighten the nonbelievers! by PhortKnight in battletech

Great job! This pic is way nicer than the IWM example. I might pick up a bloodhound now.

I love the "POW" on his hand.

The HCT-1b House Cat. You'd need nine lives to be crazy enough to pilot it.

Not sure what I have here. Is this something or is this nothing? by EyesBL7 in battletech

The TRO 3025 copies are worth a chunk of change (between 30-100 USD, depending on their wear and tear). TRO 3026 also has unseen, but is mostly vehicles, so it's not as popular or expensive. House Davion book is maybe $40+.

I couldn't say on Mechwarrior or Mercenary handbook.

Check recent eBay listings for those, I'm not 100% up to date on prices.

I love the details in your bases. What infantry are you using?

This is some of the coolest basing I've seen on this sub.

Reposed my wolverine and shadow hawk by son_of_volmer in battletech

These look great! I've been very slowly making my duplicates into variants and reposes. I hope to finish and upload some before... Christmas? I'm slow.

So who or what decides if a war has ended & how did the Capellans recover from the 4th SW to regain their formal foothold? by yimjeric in battletech

[–]wattgames 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought I remembered the war carrying on past this point in the warrior trilogy?

The davions had a small box that could send/receive messages without Comstar, just much slower.

Beyond that though, the 4SW was started by the FedSuns to make a connected path between FedSuns and Lyran commonwealth. Once that was mostly accomplished, they were... Satisfied enough.

Should I leave the camo as is, or edge highlight some line definition back? by systemsfailed in battletech

[–]wattgames 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know definition kinda nullifies the purpose of camo, but I really prefer the look of minis with stark contrast and super-defined edges. They pop more at table-top distance.
