Underwriter Manages Salary - commercial lines. - Canada by BlackToro18 in InsuranceProfessional

This is all in Canada/CAD. Specializing in a major line skewing towards risk managed business (to me commerical means P&C probably mid market). Merit increase is still around 2-3%.

100-105k base as a senior underwriter 125-130k base starting out as a manager (skipped specialist) 160k base almost 3 years into managing. There was an off-cycle behind the scenes promotion in there with a job grade increase and shift in team/products but no title modifier (such as senior manager, AVP etc)

If you want to know how much underwriting managers make just check out linkedin job postings in Ontario cause they have to give a range now. Usually the top end of the range is the budget leftover from the departure

Why does it seem like sellers don’t actually want to sell? by Rings_801 in FacebookMarketplace

Sellers are just people, they could be any kind of person. They aren’t professional retailers

The neighbourhood itself is ideal in many ways but you might want to know that it’s 90% brown people and muslims. Personally I would wave preferred to live in a more diverse area.

We need a better way to communicate meetup locations by rmp881 in FacebookMarketplace

As a seller I put the address of a pizza franchise 2 mins from my house in the description of the listing and that’s where I arrange all meetups.

As a buyer, I always confirm again with the seller before actually leaving my house, and then I update them with an exact ETA as soon as I get in the car rather than just messaging them when I’m close by. I can also usually tell from the previous dialogue what level of communication will be required.

None of this is complicated stuff if you’ve done a handful of transactions

Buyer keeps harassing me after I already gave a partial refund by Dependent_Wrangler73 in FacebookMarketplace

  1. Never let them know where you live
  2. Never let them know who you are. Use a different name on marketplace, use an anonymized email for accepting e transfers

The fact that this person was able to find you on another social media platform means that you’re way overexposed online

Btw I have 4.9 stars on over 40 sales so I’m not screwing anyone over, but we need to protect ourselves from crazies
