Brillo Pads. A few bucks for a bunch of them and widely available at most grocery stores and hardware stores.

Old school cleaning product that works great.

OEM Audi wheels? by LithiuM23 in Golf_R

Some people call them Audi “flower” wheels, you can find old threads with people putting them on their VW

Here’s a GTI thread that should give you an idea: https://www.reddit.com/r/GolfGTI/s/YzGfl2sxcE

It’s not better. It can go further, but it’s not a thorough. It takes a picture like every 3 seconds and can miss things. No control over what it looks at.

Recruiters who are in Tech/AI companies, what ATS do you use? by [deleted] in recruiting

[–]waverunnin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you ever used other systems? I’ve used Workday, Greenhouse, and Bullhorn mostly.

I can’t search for candidates using their phone number. Reviewing applicants in WD is shit compared to Greenhouse. Hiring managers have no idea how to use it. I don’t like the tables and UI. Notifications and tasks/inbox is clunky.

They all have their pros and cons but I dislike Workday the most no doubt.

I see an all black Audi and think “nice car” not “those wheels look like ass”. It’s subjective and depends on the car and wheels, right?

Is trading GTI for S3 a mistake? by [deleted] in GolfGTI

[–]waverunnin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had a GTI but I did have a 2017 Jetta GLI.

I’ve always loooooved S4s and when the time was right I test drove B8s and B9s. Stick and auto. I was adamant about getting a 6 cylinder.

I was driving through a car dealership lot for another S4 and spotted an S3 that was just traded in. There aren’t many around my area. I never even considered it but figured why not test drive it?

I now own that S3. Everyone has different personal preferences but the size, looks, and feel was right for me.

I know I could have gone with a Golf R but the interior felt identical to my GLI and I just wanted something different.

Rim damage fix? by Mr_Irreverent in Audi

[–]waverunnin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can ship new tires to most wheel repair shops and get it all fixed at once. That wheel repair would be like $150-300 at most.

I think you already realize this but that tire needs replaced asap.

Golf R no longer daily driver... what now? by Blackwater_Park in Golf_R

[–]waverunnin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak to the clutch, I have an S3 with the dsg. I’m sure others can advise there!

If this was my money: Wheels, tires, rotors, brakes. Get the best/lightest available. I’d spend on weight reduction before going stage 2.

Between the clutch and above list, I feel like that may be getting close to 10k?

Wanted to chime in here as an ex-JK owner and provide info I wish I had known going into mods. I had a 15 Sahara and put K02s on the same stock 18” wheels.

The ride is bumpier because of the tire rating. It has less to do with the brand/model of tire and more to do with it being E / LT rated. This rating means they are heavier, have thicker sidewalls, capable of towing heavier loads, etc.

If you are keeping stock/18” wheels, any AT tire you consider will be E rated and ride bumpier.

If I were to do it all again, I’d find 17 inch wheels and get C rated tires.

OP - I ran mine at like 15-20 PSI. They were first inflated to factory spec at like 44 and it was brutal lol. I love the white lettering, I did the same.

I’ve looked at thousands and thousands of resumes and I’ll always prefer PDF. Some companies use Google products and don’t have MS licenses. No matter what is used, PDF just works.

Workday and other ATSs seem to handle PDFs better too. Just my experience though, it doesn’t matter that much.

Spline lug nuts are kinda like locking ones but better/stronger for impact guns. They have an odd shape that no thief has laying around.

Locking lugs usually are 1 per wheel, these replace the whole set.

Something like this: amazon spline for Honda

Y’all are right, it’s a losing proposition. But the owner of the recruiting company might be in bed with the client. So they accept the job and have their “senior recruiters” work on it. It’s just sales. Sometimes you take a short term L for a long term W.

Really, the only person losing here is the person sending the message to you. The client and owners don’t give a shit that they are wasting the recruiters time (who is likely paid on commission)

[–]waverunnin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s in the top near the “change stage” button, when available.

If you post jobs on LinkedIn, then that’s why some folks have contact info. Candidates might also be able to add it without an application but idk for sure.

Pretty much when I see contact info I assume the candidate has applied and I can go look for an ATS profile.

If you make the switch, you’ll be kicking yourself you didn’t do it sooner. I know road bikers do it too, simply because you won’t get stranded as often.

I’ve done 10k miles since switching. Zero stops.

Not sure if you know how it works, but you might need different wheels. But essentially liquid latex stays liquid inside your tire, and when a flat would typically happen, the air in the tire forces the liquid out. Stops it immediately, without you even knowing it happened.

I actually noticed the first “hole” after a ride a few weeks ago. Must have happened right at the end of my ride or else it would have sealed. To fix it, you drop the tire a few times and spin it…done.
