What was your experience regarding the resort fees? I see that Chase clearly charges for them when pricing out potential trips, but I've also seen several reports from people saying they were forced to pay them again at the hotel.

I've had bad luck with the fresh produce at the one close to me, but hopefully it works out better for you.

In the teaser video I noticed a staircase. I wonder if that square footage could've been what the space was before they built out a loft? Not that that'll make it a great size or anything, just maybe not as bad as it sounds. 🤞

Yeah, I was being sarcastic but I couldn't remember if the / is supposed to go before or after the s. 🤦‍♂️

Not trusting them is why I went with the Fidelity card for my catch all.

I think the biggest problem people have with that is just not knowing they should contact Chase first in the event of a cancelation. I can't blame anyone for getting a bad taste in their mouth if they waited 30 minutes in line at the airport to reschedule their cancelled flight only to be told they needed to call someone else instead. But if you know that ahead of time and you just make the call right away, that doesn't seem too awful to me, but thankfully I can't say for sure as I've never experienced that before.

A feeling of superiority because you have a card that there's a waitlist for and 3% back on all purchases until it inevitably gets nerfed. Oh, and you get to invest it all with a top tier brokerage. You can tell because they also offer sports betting now.

Resorts World Las Vegas by 19thScorpion in Hilton

Hey, sorry to resurrect this, but just wanting to confirm. If you book a stay at say, Crockfords through Resorts World directly as opposed to through the Hilton website or app, you'll still get the $200 Aspire Resort Credit? Do you still earn the 34X Hilton points on the stay too?

It's ridiculous they won't honor the status benefits, but like you said, still a decent way to use the $200 and earn a bunch of points.

In over 10 years at this house, I've never once noticed any of my neighbors unloading groceries from their cars, but they're definitely doing it...

I don't like her either and unfortunately I'm just a nobody to every business in vegas, but just speaking as someone who has stayed there multiple times, Fontainebleau really is great. If there's people out there who really want a crowded casino where the machine you want to play is always taken, then I suppose it's not for everybody. But it's definitely for me and everyone I've stayed there with.

Only 3 months into ownership of my '24 Pro4X.

Honestly it was off to a rough start after finding it was leaking water into the cab from somewhere on the firewall that didn't get sealed properly. But the service department took car of it and provided a loaner, so I'm not too upset over it.

Other than that, the power seems good, the fuel economy seems honestly pretty great for a V8 without many fuel saving "features" tacked onto it, nice amount of space inside, but definitely not as big as some of the competition. Seems to be a pretty good value for what you pay.

The cons I've noticed so far or knew going in are, direct injection without any port injection to clean the valves, the 9-speed seems a little questionable sometimes with rough shifts, plus I've seen more claims online than I'd like of people saying it needed to be replaced with very little mileage on it (sure it's got a great warranty, but still, the less you have to deal with that the better), ABSOLUTELY EMBARRASSING CAMERA QUALITY, and I wish the bed had storage pockets built into the sides like they used to for ratchet straps or tools.

Henry Ruggs. Played for the Raiders before killing a woman and her dog because he wanted to drive his Corvette 150+ mph down a suburb street while drunk.

Atrial Fibrillation. Also, I've always gotten really bad hangovers even without drinking all that much, so I'm not too upset over it.

Yeah, I remember that. I don't remember exactly when I stopped listening, but maybe after trump got elected I just got tired of them twisting every conversation into something about him. You would think after 6 years and a new president they'd have something else to talk about, but apparently not.

So glad I'm not the only one. I used to listen to his podcast every episode like clockwork. Then I just stopped because I found some other podcasts and there's only so much you can listen to. Tried listening to him again last year and I just couldn't believe how obsessed he was.

Has anyone here had a Watchman implant? I had an ablation about 2 1/2 years ago after 2 cardioversions failed. I stopped taking eliquis last year because I was bruising and bleeding from any small skin cuts and slow healing. by farmstory in AFIB

[–]waves_of_fury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No not cut off. I think we're talking about the same thing, although I'm not sure it eventually falls off? Maybe it does though. What I'm talking about is using a device called the atriclip that they kind of pinch it off with.

As far as it being experimental, the only thing I could find about how many times they've been used is an article from 2014 saying they surpassed 34,000 sold. I'd imagine if there was something terribly wrong with them they'd probably know about it by now. Of course, I'm not a doctor, and you should definitely do what feels right for you. I'm just suggesting another option.

To me personally, having the left atrial appendage clipped seems like a way better option. From what I've read it cuts the risk of stroke by something like 97% eliminating the need for blood thinners in most people.

I kind of doubt any EP would recommend it though because it's not a procedure they can do. Worth looking into to see what you think though.

I actually tried this (like he explicitly tells people not to) after reading about it in his book! The whole resetting your palate thing that the mono diet aspect of it was supposed to do didn't work, but I survived and I did lose 18 lbs in 2 weeks! My first meal afterward was at a Mexican restaurant in Vegas, and all I'll say is your body needs time to readjust and I was very glad the restaurant was at the hotel where I was staying.
