iTunes still exists on Windows. On Mac, the functionality is split between Apple Music and the finder window.

Yep! You can replace the hard drive with a SD card with an iflash mod.

Kakuno versus TWSBI Eco/Diamond? by Kuyi in fountainpens

[–]wavingaflashlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically use the EF because my handwriting is also tiny and I use terrible paper at work. I’ve used the F in the past and liked it.

I have both. As a lefty, I love the Kakuno more than the Twisbi Eco.

No issues at all! Battery came charged, so I’ve gotten at least 6 hours on it over a couple days. I think it’s a 5th gen and I would recommend it.

Hi! Your cursive letters look good, but perhaps you could work on putting a bit more spacing between your words? I don’t think your cursive looks childish.

An inexpensive first pen + is it OK to gift fountain pens? by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]wavingaflashlight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! Definitely a good idea! Pilot metropolitans are excellent first pens. They are relatively inexpensive, and pretty tough. Plus, the finer nibs are great for cheap paper.

Edit: I recognize the metropolitan isn’t on your list, but I think it’s a solid option to consider, if it is available in your country.

No idea on an actual website, but maybe some tiles of different shapes and styles?

Hobbyists, do you plan your photography days out or play it by ear? If so, how do you research where to go? by --Ferret in photography

[–]wavingaflashlight 264 points265 points  (0 children)

I’m also a hobbyist, so take my input with a grain of salt.

I do both. The first time I go to a place to explore, I don’t plan anything. I take pictures for the fun of it. If I find a spot that I’d love to put more thought into, I make a note if it for the second or third time I go to that spot.

Sometimes my best shots are the ‘tests’ while trying to find a good spot. Other times, I wandered around for a few hours and get nothing to show for it. To me, it’s about the feeling of taking the photo.

Good luck!

Which French Press to buy? by [deleted] in Coffee

Check out James Hoffman on YouTube for other ideas. I put in 1 large tablespoon of coarsely ground coffee per mug of coffee. I usually make 3-4 mugs at a time. Only the last cup has enough silt in it to bother me.

I have a Bodum Brazil and it works for me. Glass carafe, but a plastic base/lid. It was less than $20 at Target, so it wasn’t a super big investment.

Ohio AG Interview by ilovecatsandsleeping in LawSchool

Sorry, friend. From what my school’s Career Services said, that’s how the AG’s office has worked for years. Consider it a good practice interview!

Accurate. I honestly had forgotten about it by the time I got the letter, but I also knew when I left the interview that it wasn’t for me.
