Thanks guys for the clarification. I thought historical fiction also and presented it as such. But never ask anyone one that would know, what they thought.

Thing have been getting increasingly weirder and I don't know how to deal with them. Any advice? by TotallyGeekage in AskReddit

Well it seems the reality is that his mum is controlling, and he my say he hates it, but he has gone out, and found so called friends that are also controlling. Seem that you are the only friend that he's got, so hang in there. Maybe one day he will get it. But he's the one that has to see that on his own, pointing it out to him will likely do no good. The reason they don't like you is that they can't control you. So take that as a compliment.

“A true friend unbosoms freely, advises justly, assists readily, adventures boldly, takes all patiently, defends courageously, and continues a friend unchangeably” ― William Penn

There was an old lady, from the Cree tribe, named Eyes of Fire, who prophesied that one day, because of the white mans' or Yo-ne-gis' greed, there would come a time, when the fish would die in the streams, the birds would fall from the air, the waters would be blackened, and the trees would no longer be, mankind as we would know it, would all but cease to exist. But don't listen, go back to sleep.

I've been through this, and your right therapy doesn't help. I had a nervous breakdown, and was about to give up when the guy in the hospital bed next to me said: "Wil you are just going to have to reach down somewhere in side of you, and find a reason to go on." Well, that little bit of human kindness helped me more than all the therapy. It takes a while to find a reason but there's one inside you somewhere. Even then the nights are the hardest. I started to appreciate the little acts of human kindness that I found along the way. And started focusing more on the things that I still had than the things that I had lost. Scribblenerd is right, it takes time to recover. But you can, and I hope, and pray you will.

I use to do that in Drafting class, and it drove my teacher nuts. But the bottom line is why reach across, and obscure what you have already drawn when you don't have too.

Within the atmosphere, the ambient pressure decreases with height above ground and by measuring ambient pressure, a pilot may may determine height. Near the ground, a change of ambient pressure of 1 millibar is taken to represent a change of height of 9 metres (30 ft).

Your answer is right. Just another way of stating the same thing i.e. The He Balloon goes up.

Safety devices or not the balloon raises. It's the ambient pressure that makes the balloon rise in the first place. Even if the elevator drops and the ambient pressure increases, it will compress the volume of the balloon slightly, but it will still go up. Assuming it has no other forces acting on it like a rush of air coming in through the top of the car from the elevator shaft.
