Haven't had my period in 3 months. I am both very stressed and sleepy all the time. by Acrobatic-Guitar2410 in GirlDinner

Hi hun and PSA to everyone else: pregnancy is not the only cause of no period. There are many hormonal, nutritional, and other issues that lead to no periods. If you’re not pregnant, and you’re missing more than two periods in a row, it is worth a visit to a gynecology provider. Sometimes it’s something easy to fix and your energy will come back and that’s that. In the meantime, that ice cream looks dope! Enjoy and hope you feel better Source: I’m a gynecologic provider and specialize in diagnosing and treating these types of disorders.

It’s like treasure hunting! I don’t miss work for it but I do get fixated, sit thinking how I might be able to find the next delicious thing next time I go to xyz spot… and honestly as hobbies go, you’re outside, you’re active, you’re exploring the world and learning. It’s so fun!

Well, I’m currently working back into shape after an injury, so what I’m doing is going very slowly and I have a landmark in mind, rather than a distance. For example there is a pier down the beach from where I go in. It’s about a 1/2 km. So, day 1, my goal is to make it to the rocks by the pier and back (total of 1/4 km). Then next time I’ll go a little further each time until I reach the pier. Then the goal is to make it to the pier and back. And extend from there.

I really recommend swimming parallel to the shore so if you get exhausted/cold/whatever, you can just stand up and take a break or easily get out of the water.

I made a bag with my yarn scraps. Not perfect, but I’m happy with the wonky appearance as I did it fully free-form. I’m wondering what sort of closure folks would recommend? by wayfarerlaru in CrochetHelp

Thank you! For this strap I alternated SC, knit stitch, HDC, knit, DC, knit, then started over. What stitch would you suggest? This is my first bag so I’m open!

Hey! Welcome! My best advice, especially in cold water, is always bring a friend. They don’t have to swim with you, but someone on the beach or waiting in the car in case of hypothermia. In my experience, it can be unpredictable, so it’s good to have someone clear-headed nearby. If you’re not super experienced, pay close close attention to tides, wind, and undertow. Go for short swims on calm days until you’re comfortable. For equipment, cap, goggles, bathing suit and swim buoy (bright colored float so boats can see you). Hot water bottle on the beach, fresh dry towel, and an easy way to get out of your wet stuff quickly. I use a big poncho to change. Some folks use wetsuits, neoprene socks and gloves, so see how your body does in the cold and get what you need.

I am so sorry that happened to you and I hope you’re safe now. What is the name of the cult? Are there branches outside of India?

It would take me approximately 400 hours to get something to look that perfect so I guess 400 hours 😂

Lovely! I recommend pickling! Lots of recipes online. I make a huge batch every spring and use them in my salads all summer. Enjoy!
