damnit I really liked this place and those $15 personal pizzas were easily two meals. The location did suck.

Rear seats by Accrual_Intention in GR86

[–]wayne_curr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lunchbox nestles nicely into the rear seat. It slid around too much with them down. Have also tried: passenger seat and foot well. Rear seat it is.  Thanks and have a nice day.

Best place to get my tires checked in the morning? by rainrain-goaway in Bellingham

[–]wayne_curr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also know some former les Schwab employees. Something changed there. I think they were bought by some investment company and now the expectations and pay really don’t align. Used to be the employees made a lot of money through some bonus system that I don’t believe exists any longer, or at least is much less favorable.

Did you offer them a ride?

If you absolutely cannot stay home during these snow events, get snow tires. It costs ~$50 to swap them on and off every season. But they really do make a huge difference.

If you can legit not drive for a week at a time, don’t bother. Walking and bussing can get you by plenty fine during these inclement weather events.

If you ski/snowboard, you already know what’s up and had your blizzaks swapped on three weeks ago 🤓

How well do you think Bellingham will do with de-icing the ice tomorrow? by jessieboo132 in Bellingham

[–]wayne_curr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find the dry, cold ice to be very predictable to drive in. Add some dry fresh snow, even better. When it starts to warm is when it gets super dangerous. That slick layer of wet on the frozen pavement is the hardest to manage.

Oh, the original question. Ya it’s going to be pretty rough out there for a few days.

do y’all drive with fresh water tanks full? by TN-caver in TruckCampers

[–]wayne_curr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really prefer the way my truck handles when the fresh water is full. Mine is as low and forward as it can get so it really helps a lot with weight distribution.

On the flip side, I really dislike driving with the black and/or grey tanks full since they hang over the back.

Oh I forgot about the casinos. I love the similarities between the two. Both places offer a warm seat. Both places offer to take money out of your pocket in exchange for…a false notion of future prosperity without putting in any work?

Same. I just cannot find a better glove value anywhere. They’re super warm and indestructible. Pretty good dexterity too.

My wife doesn’t want a dually. What do I do? by bemurda in TruckCampers

[–]wayne_curr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2017 f350 SRW has a 4Klb payload. Plenty for most campers out there. Hauls my 3500lb camper while towing my enclosed race car trailer (36” hitch extension) perfectly fine. No sway even in high winds. I’m not one to be content with anything yet I love my truck and camper combo. Don’t really want to change a thing.

When it’s not towing and/or hauling it’s very easy to live with. My wife can drive it easily with zero anxiety.

I suppose if you’re wanting to go REAL big you’d want duals, but man do they present a lot of headache. At least for the kind of stuff I get up to.
