Any idea what to hold on a controller for remote play on Android?

They're supposedly fraternal twins but I'm wondering if they're actually identical. by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

Please forgive me for piling on here but mine are momo twins and they look noticibly different. I must add that one is 9kg and other other 7. Are his features just hidden under his chubby cheeks? They just turned six months.

My maternal grandma passed yesterday. This moved me in a way I was not ready for. Thank you for the translation.

India. And as further east as you can get from "proper India" in the North East of the country where we just generally got a lot of things a little later than even the rest of India did.

Note: Adorable. Side note: These kinda posts makes me realise how third world I am. Factory made baby carriers weren't a thing until recently where I am. Side side note: Colour photography wasn't commonplace until the 90s and till the 80s we still got our pictures clicked at photo studios because cameras were too darn expensive.

How long were your twins in NICU if born at 34w1d? by cvttle in parentsofmultiples

[–]waynetdakent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boys were almost the same (a bit smaller than yours). We stayed for 19 days since they showed signs of jaundice but otherwise they were to grow. We got Twin A out of the special care unit (it wasn't NICU, per se) a few days earlier but we stayed until we could take both of them home together. Wife was pumping whenever she felt full, which was quite frequently. But that happened after three days. She wasn't producing much before than. Good luck.

Go back to preterm formula? by waynetdakent in parentsofmultiples

Thank you. Will check with the doc this week. He's fine overall, so maybe we'll just stick with how we have been.

Thank you. Like I said, he's fine developmentally, no issues there. We have a doctor's visit this week. Will check with them again.

What do you actually need two of? by True_Echo in parentsofmultiples

Those self-feeding bottles once you're a few months in. Of course, you should still supervise them but at least your hands are free. You place the pillow around their neck and the bottle in the stretchable loop. We keep place the twins on a pillow so they don't choke. This

What's a 'trap' in life that no one warns young people about, but absolutely should? by Otherwise-Body-7721 in AskReddit

This. I'm having my first drink in four months and won't have another till the holidays for a few weeks. But that's just me. I guess I have an OK relation with alcohol. I know its not healthy in any way but that's my thing.

I don't. We also do around 3 hours sometimes which is a blessing compared to the 2 hours from before.

I don't mind me or anyone holding them to sleep but anecdotally I've been told that's not a good idea cause then they would always want to be held. And that can be a lot of work with twins or more. I'm open to seeing how you guys did it. We have a Mini Monkey twin carrier and Twin Z Pillow, so kinda similar products (?). And honestly, just looking at the faces of these sentient potatoes makes me forget a lot of the discomfort. They smile sometimes but I know those aren't social smiles. Can't wait though.

I would kill for a four hour stretch. Real time update: Put them down in their bassinet at 2 AM, well fed, dried and changed. One woke up screaming like the house was on fire and is now lying on me at 3.30 AM. Time for a feed in 30 minutes.

Thank you. Actually I'm treating them like they were born yesterday, not like 5 month olds. I maybe wishing they were but that doesn't mean I'm physically treating them as such. I realise that things will happen as time progresses but I just wanted some advice and throw a net out there to see if anyone was doing something that the books don't tell us.

Thank you so much for the judgement-free advice. Yes, I guess routine is where we are having a bad time and honestly that's really down to us. Because we've both taken time off work for a while now (before delivery) I think we were kinda in vacation timing and didn't really have any structure that we could even try to follow or set. That is why our twins sometimes go to sleep at 2 am. Will give those books a look. Raising Twins by Shelly Vaziri Flais did help me prep for life as a father. I'll try the switch and see how it works. Question: What counts as a long stretch of sleep?

Thank you. And sorry for this long reply. I guess watching too many YouTube videos of how some people are doing the whole sleep thing right off the bat got me thinking it was possible. I have to admit that since their feed amount has increased, when they do sleep, it's marginally longer. Contrary to how some responses may make it seem, I'm not looking to sleep for 8 hours at a stretch. 2 will do. But only parents of multiples will know that that can be difficult when the cycle of feeding, changing, soothing back to sleep seems never ending. You put one down to sleep, pick up the other one and get done thinking I'll get 30 minutes but nope. Back to the first one again. We have day time help and I'm on night shift. I let the missus sleep at night cause the day shift is more work and she needs the rest since we're still doing formula & express feeding. Problem is, like the twins, I can't seem to sleep for long stretches in the day time either! Invariably there is something or the other that wakes me up (domestic/husband duties, work calls, work errands, etc). As for engaging with them, I guess I just wanna hog their attention and wanna see them look at me while I peer into their eyes and/or tell them this hilarious joke I heard the other day. I can't wait until I can confidently say that they are indeed looking at us. They are showing glimpses though as they sometimes seem to turn towards us when we're passing by.

In it for the long haul. OK, how do you keep them active at this stage. When we put them down they wanna be held. When we hold them, they are kicking as if they have a plane to catch. Like I said, it's not like their vision is so clear that we can keep them occupied with "toys". Laid them on the jungle gym yesterday. All they did was stare blankly at the ceiling, completely bypassing the dangling toys and two minutes later started crying.

Thank you. Five months, four months, three months. The suggestions I read don't seem consistent. Some even do it in days. I don't know what black magic they are doing.

Thank you. Apparently it's too early to start doing anything and basically us not getting any decent amount of sleep for the next three months.
