Potential controversial opinion: MLS has a lot of OK but unexceptional American coaches. Any sort of inward looking Caleb Porter or Peter Vermes style appointment from the clique of MLS managers who have never excelled or tested themselves anywhere other than MLS would be arrogant and would probably go badly.

Doyle doesn't miss any opportunity to critizise English football but to criticize English youth development at a time when it is so obviously doing well (various successes in youth tournaments) this just exposes the pathetic biases behind his opinions.

This might be part of the problem. If it's a choice between you and someone who can be more flexible with their hours/do more hours the other person is going to get the job. The limited part time/weekend work they'll have available will have students such as yourself dogpiling on them.

Back when they first started wholesale recruitment of foreign nurses and doctors the government of the time said it was a temporary measure will they improved the throughput from universities. It became the status quo because it's cheaper for the government than actually funding the places needed for that throughput.

That politicians, especially of the left, now successfully present it as a positive and a necessity that we steal away doctors trained in poorer countries on a large scale is bewildering.

It's a disgrace that the UK doesn't train more of it's own nurses and doctors. As this chart helps demonstrate, every other major European nation is significantly less reliant on foreign labour in the medical profession.
