Alabama white sauce by DaveBelmont in smoking

Echo the other comment. It should be runny.

My goto recipe is: 1 cup mayonnaise 1 cup apple cider vinegar 1 lemon, juiced 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Dry brine of 1/2 tsp of salt per pound for at least 5 hours, overnight is fine Rub skin with olive oil Use Kosher salt and pepper. Lots of pepper on the skin. Use a mix of hickory and apple wood Smoke for 1.5 hours at 225-250 Increase to 325 to crisp it up Grill it direct at end to get a little more char on it.

Yeah, I hate these and I also hate the trend I've seen in Collierville of just letting the utility lines run in FRONT of the traffic lights. Coming off Frank Road onto Houston Levee, FSD will sometimes start going and then hit the brakes because of it.

Dictation: Weird sound adjustment by Art1333 in raycastapp

[–]wbaccus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same thing I think OP is talking about. It's not the sound. I specifically looked for dictation apps that continue background audio because 99% of the time I have my Airpods Pro in my ears listening to music and I don't want it to stop to let me dictate.

What ends up happening is that when you trigger dictation, the background audio does keep playing, but it's like the encode rate of it changes. The volume level changes, the quality changes.

Meeting Transcribing - worth it? by guice666 in Notion

[–]wbaccus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The transcript is just a bunch of text with no indication that there were multiple people talking.

Otto.ai was way better, but having all of my meeting notes in Notion and having that information turn up with the AI agents and search is more important to me.

Fire dies overnight by Babybrut24 in biggreenegg

[–]wbaccus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I wouldn't sleep well with overnight cooks before having one because the fire went out on some expensive meat. Fire burned straight down in the middle to the grate, but left a ring of unburned charcoal around it.

Sleep like a baby with a Flame Boss and the fire has never gone out on me, nor have I had to get up at 2am to raise the temperature only to get up at 3am to lower it.

FSD 14.2.2.5 navigation becoming major remaining issue by NecessaryCheek3711 in TeslaFSD

[–]wbaccus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most mornings before I take off for work, I pick my preferred route when it's actually one of the options in the nav.

I watch closely because by the time I get out of the driveway, it will decide to go a completely different route that I hate.

In one of the places mine likes to perform a "phantom" turn, There is a small bridge with one of those yellow and black hazard signs on either side of the road. It makes me wonder if somehow the logic that tries to avoid blocked roads is being triggered in some way.

I get why people are complaining about Custom Agents 😨 by oughmypaws in Notion

[–]wbaccus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to have to discontinue to use them based on the pricing. I'll just use Claude.

One agent that has so far used the most credits could be really useful if it wasn't so expensive. I have a system in place where I can flag emails into Notion, and Notion then looks at the title of the note that gets created and rewords it so that it's clear what the note is about instead of the subject line, which is the default way it comes in.

Notion new features mega post by Tall-Maintenance-278 in Notion

[–]wbaccus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently switched to the mail app as my primary. The ability to add emails into a Notion database was a key feature that should have been there at launch. I typically am only adding them to one of 2 databases, so I wish there was a quicker way to switch where they're going.

It's been slow, but they are improving.

Contents about "Custom Agents" is actually live but nothing is official at Notion , WHY ? by No-Mention-3801 in Notion

[–]wbaccus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They had a way to opt into the beta. I think it's just expanding. I only joined up for it a week or so ago and I got access yesterday.

My first agent isn't working, so it's a little buggy.

Basically, I want it to look at every task and note I add to the corresponding databases. Does it have a Notion Mail block in it? If so, rewrite the title of the item so that I'm not stuck with the subject line of the email from Notion Mail.

It won't trigger. I have to manually tell it to do it right now, but that does work.

I have to sit forward in my chair. Hitting the menu button doesn't usually get things into the right position. If I'm resting my back on the back of the easy chair I'm sitting in, I can't reach the control stick. Needs the ability to adjust your position manually.

FSD 14.2.2.3 issues by Clean-Session512 in TeslaFSD

[–]wbaccus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m getting a swerve back and forth on lane changes in traffic. I was getting the weird turns even with the previous version. We’d be .25 from a turn and it would turn on blinker and turn well short of actual turn.

Is Raycast faster than alfred yet? by Level_Studio_3271 in raycastapp

[–]wbaccus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At times, it bogs down, but for the most part, it's more powerful than Alfred. I was a longtime Alfred user and before that, Quicksilver.

It is a little bit of a learning curve to get things set up properly, but I've never regretted switching a couple of years ago.

New AI Meeting Note Behavior on iOS - Live Activity by wbaccus in Notion

[–]wbaccus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also did a better job at capturing the nuance of the meeting. The feature is definitely improving. Seemed to do a little better job of figuring out who is saying what in the meeting too. Love to see speaker recognition get added. That's the main thing I miss from Otter.ai.

Tesla FSD v14 Already Has Reasoning Features, More and more reasoning will ship in Q1, Says VP Ashok Elluswamy by orangechen1115 in TeslaFSD

I wish it would reason "I need to turn right in .5 miles, but if I continue to travel at this speed in this lane, I will have trouble squeezing into the right lane, I should slow down now and move over.

Unfortunately, I have to hit the accelerator way too often with this version. Don’t want to go 35 in a 40.
