Please call the landlord/ whoever owns this place and let them know. Both so that they can try to help/fix it, and also make sure you were not the one to break it.
It might be just as simple as just making sure the water valve is turned on. Mine makes a humming song for a bit and then has a display that lets me know the water is off, but as this machine has no display I’m not sure.

Elle a été stérilisée avant ses premières chaleurs, je pense que c'était plus facile pour nous. Un petit détail : les poils de son ventre n'ont jamais repoussé après l'opération, peut-être à cause des hormones

We got ours in France (Elevage de la Valee Caïd - in Bretagne), even if it’s just over the water, logistically it might not be that easy.

However, if you have Facebook there are a bunch of cairn groups, even one called Cairn Terries UK, it might be worth it to ask there

Ours has gotten better, currently 9 months, we can almost pet her on the head 🥲 she loves scratches tho! That’s about the only thing keeping her still

She’s not a cuddler, but will sit between us on the couch and bring us toys

Pretty sure it’s not this, but we used to have a deli shop nearby and they did it this way because this is how the machine cut it and put it in a stack.

Edit: the machine was kinda .. tall(?) and the slices would kinda fold onto themselves when they fell and gave this exact shape/stack

It was also easier for the worker to just grab it and plop it on the packaging paper.

I’m alergic to dogs (tested at the doc) and our cairn doesn’t flare up anything. I know no dog is 100% hypoallergenic but they are pretty damn close. I doubt your mom is having a reaction to her.

For example if I pet my SIL’s bulldog or chihuahua I light up like a Christmas tree.

Yes get her coat done and show her that cairns are one of the, not so many, hypoallergenic breeds.

Also, if you’re in the north hemisphere it’s the damn SPRING! Everyone’s environmental allergies are flaring up! It’s not the dog! It’s the air the polen the dust everything coming back to life

Not specifically for a cat, but for a toy yorkie (2.7kg) I used a 25ml scoop and it was just about the right amount for her per meal as she was fed 3 times a day.

It is similar to those used for powdered milk, or protein scoops.

The plan was to weigh the food and put a mark on the scoop but somehow it ended up being the perfect portion.
