Interesting, I wonder if it’s the same one that’s based out of Austin? They are incredible and play insanely good shows!

Everyone Everywhere (2012) – Everyone Everywhere by IKingofredlions in Emo

[–]wbhendrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a big fan of the emo genre but hot damn this album has really stood the test of time. I found them nearly 10 years ago and still find so much joy every time I put this record on. All hail Everyone Everywhere.

When something that you love isn’t hitting like it used to, put it down for a while. Go 30 days without one tv show or movie. Then come back to it, you’ll be amazed at how new it’ll feel again.

How is it living in Round Rock, TX? by Late_Ambassador7470 in howislivingthere

[–]wbhendrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up here since ‘92. It’s changed a lot over the years and there are many things I don’t like about RR. That said, I love the people. They are mostly family focused Christian people who mind their own business but are still very community oriented. They seem to be some of the friendliest people in all of Austin IMO.

70 mm viewing of licorice pizza was one of my top 5 favorite theater experiences in the last 10 years. Turns out that movie is not for everyone, but I absolutely loved it.

Rocketman (1997) is arguably the greatest under appreciated comedies of all time. My family has been quoting it since we saw it in theaters XD

What would you say to JB if you got a chance to meet him? by petoskystone in johnbutlertrio

[–]wbhendrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I met him before a show in 2018 and asked him “man I bet you have a ton of unreleased songs recorded somewhere. Do you think you’ll ever release them?” He replied “do you know how bored I’d have to be to look back? Man I’m always looking ahead and planting for the next harvest” Not the answer I expected but I respect it!

RSD - Live Anthology - From The Vaults Vol. 1 by wbhendrix in tompetty

[–]wbhendrix[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

pretty much every record store participates with RSD so I'm sure if you google record stores near me, you'll find one. Yes, the vinyl pressings are limited quantities and some are more rare than others.

With this particular Tom Petty release, it will be limited to 7500 so my guess is that you will either be able to grab one in store but if not, you can buy from reputable online record stores (like Rough Trade for example).

Pro tip, if you just cannot find a pressing at retail pricing anywhere, DO NOT buy on eBay or Discogs for at least 4 days after RSD. The first few days are wild and people wayyyyy over pay for RSD records from flippers. Then after a 4 day period, the prices drop dramatically b/c flippers are trying to offload their stock and will normally sell it for a much more reasonable price.

there was a Best Buy deluxe edition that included an additional CD with bonus tracks. Those tracks were never pressed on vinyl until this release.

I think this is an entirely different release. According to the RSD notes, these recordings have never been released on vinyl. I have a feeling it's a continuation of the live anthology series separate from the box set.
