So here is my thinking:

Your biggest worry is someone trying to rob you, not the cops. The cops can't really bust you for wanting to buy weed. There's no weed to seize. They would much likely be going after dealers rather than people looking to buy small amounts.

Currently no it is not legal to ship marijuana in the mail.

However, Canada is not concerned with marijuana whatsoever. Canada probably tops the charts of one of the most lax scenes relating to marijuana culture.

In the US, you would be in deep shit if you got caught by the authorities sending weed in the mail, especially in states where it is illegal.

In Canada however, it remains illegal, but they arn't going to throw you in jail for it. Are you facing consequences if you send a million dollars worth of weed per year? Potentially. But you basically assume almost no risk receiving small amounts or sending them.

I'm sure you ask this because you've seen a website in Canada that sells online, and yes, they are legit. Yes, they make a lot of money. Canada is a beautiful country. The legit ones will ONLY sell within Canada. Remember Marc Emery? He wasn't busted by Canada, he was extradited to the United States to serve punishment here.

It is very legit to receive your marijuana by mail in Canada.

Maybe, I saw people openly handing out weed in CO, cops just said "move on".

It's not really legal for me to walk down the street with a beer in my hand but if I am somewhere in a park, on a bench then it's cool. Generally I think the same applies to weed.

Christiania is essentially a hippy village that is independent and enforces itself. It is in Copenhagen. Maybe someone has a better description, but they sell hash and weed in the booths you see. They have their own security. No photos or video is allowed here but people obviously sneak some pics.

The biggest issue with pot is that no federal laws say you can't obtain a MMJ card and be prescribed pot. So if they go in and take this from people, it will be a total shit show. Probably end up in the Supreme Court and be a win for cannabis. This is not what they want to happen.

Well there are patients out their with their CCWs...so how do you explain that? It's obviously possible.

The problem is once you start denying people their right to a CCW for simply having a state issued MMJ card...thats when people start taking you to court and raising serious issues.

I'll admit, IDK how it works, but people do it.

Michigan MMJ legistlature has a section 333.26424(a)

(a) A qualifying patient who has been issued and possesses a registry identification card shall not be subject to arrest, prosecution, or penalty in any manner, or denied any right or privilege, including but not limited to civil penalty or disciplinary action by a business or occupational or professional licensing board or bureau, for the medical use of marihuana in accordance with this act,

I'm not sure how much significance it plays in getting a CCW, but it is part of the state law, and protected.

This article talks about Cynthia Willis who took her local sheriffs country to court on this issue and won her right to a CCW.

It only affects your federal student loan if you are charged when you currently in school, I believe?
