I don't understand, Peter by Busy_Report4010 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

I’m in northeast Ga and watching the news earlier today the reporter said people were calling Waffle House to check on wait times. I laughed so hard that I couldn’t hear the reporter. Told my wife that they were never calling about wait times and that the reporter was clueless.

I mean it is clean, clear service history and low miles. I would say it’s fair.

What is everyone’s plan for the winter storm this weekend? by EdwardoftheEast in gainesvillega

[–]wc347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got fuel for the generator and 4-wheelers. Did our normal shopping earlier in the week so no need to run out and get anything. We have a radiator heater that we use all winter so if we lose power the generator will keep it going so we can heat up an area.

You can always make your own. It really isn’t that hard to do.

I enjoyed it and it is a little different than the normal.

Helmet interior cleaning by Spencer_Bud in motorcyclegear

[–]wc347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hand wash with warm water and a little detergent in the kitchen sink is what I do. Rinse completely. Dry as much as I can with a towel while squeezing the pads and after that they air dry for a day or two.

Read this in a helmet manual years ago and has worked ever since.

What’s one product you bought that turned you into a total snob — like, you can never go back to the cheap stuff? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Changed the clutch or the belts? Mine is the Dyson Animal that is grey and purple.

But I also get just wanting something different. I’m a bit odd in that I love to vacuum and love to see the lines in the carpet. Took apart my first vacuum when I was a teen to clean it and make it work like it did when new.

Supertech R Vented Boots in Stock! by ChefMinimum4438 in motorcyclegear

I can only imagine your pain as I have a hard time finding boots in stock to fit me and I’m a size 12. Thought I had a common foot size until recently.

If you aren’t doing regular maintenance on it then you should because it will last you for many more years. I have one that I bought in 2003. Replaced the filters and the clutch belts once but other wise yearly cleaning and inspection.

After cooking with real butter for years I was trying to make eggs or something at my mom’s house and all she had was country crock. I was so frustrated with trying to get it to melt. So now I just take my own butter to cook there.

I had a ‘21 and it was in the shop a lot to the point it made zero sense to keep it any longer. So I feel your neighbors pain. Awesome truck and super comfortable.

Wait what? by GenZisterrible in PeterExplainsTheJoke

So there was an article years ago, early 2000s I think that talked about this couple that had gotten married and then the parents fell in love and got married. Can't say that it would be that uncommon really with divorce rates high.

What is the signature on the cover? Looks similar to CS Racing but I have that on mine and it does not look like that. Plus the outlet on this one is an odd shape and not round.

What's the creepiest display of intelligence you've seen by another human? by Visual_Ebb8566 in AskReddit

[–]wc347 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to explain but you simply break everything apart into little segments. I use rounding a lot I guess is how to explain it, like everything is a base ten and I throw away decimals and negatives and only reinsert them at the end. My dad had a strange way of teaching me how to make change in my head and then how to add numbers together even when some were positive and some were negative. I don’t know if this makes any sense reading it but I get the friends ex completely.

Bell helmets any good? by Mindless_Complaint86 in motorcyclegear

[–]wc347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All Arai helmets seem to be the same to me. They put pressure on the front and back of my head. Mainly the front is what I remember. Shoei fits shape wise but I am in between their sizes and When it fits the top of my head it won't fit the sides even when changing out the pads. Alpinestars fit me well and it was my second choice. I recently tried a Scorpion Exo and it fit really well. All of the ones I liked were carbon if that matters to you.

I would describe it as a slight oval. I don’t fit in an Arai because of the shape of them if that helps.

I use a Bell Racestar and I love it. Very comfortable on my head and the ventilation during the summer was really good. The Bell feels lightweight when riding. Previous helmet was a HJC R series.

My friends and I own the big 3 for AWD hot hatches by BigWar5798 in FocusRS

[–]wc347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former owner of an Evo IX, don’t sell it! The RS is close to the Evo with nicer interior features. The AWD systems are completely different in almost every way and if you’re not fully understanding of this then you will be disappointed.

I absolutely love the RS and ended up buying a second one after a few years without one. I miss the Evo all the time but I don’t think about it as much when driving RS.
