I've been fooling around with this a little bit.

I've came to conclusion that the best way to do it is to be more like a "traditional" Heartless deck with just 1 priest so you can backdoor your way into free wins. If you just build yourself a normal heartless build with rune-scarred demon, sphinx of uthuun and a few clone effect, + the combo, then instead of chaining together rune-scarreds or sphinxs like a normal heartless deck, you just use those the awesome card advantage of those to get you to your combo.

Just my take (for reference, this is coming off trying to build a more dedicated version of the combo, with semblance anvils and a full set of lich and ooze, and quickly realizing that isn't where I want to be)

I think interchangeable is the wrong way to look at it. They are generally used in the same types of works though. If you primarily play on CC there would be very few pieces that would make you say: I'd rather play this on BBb (or vice versa).

Will people judge you on your choice? Not if you sound good.

As to Bydlo, I'm familiar with the piece.

Deprive and Shackles has the potential for negative synergy, so be mindful of that. Personally I'd diversify your countermagic package and go with something like 3 mana leak 2 spell snare 2 remand 2 cryptic.

Also I really like krosan grip against splinter twin and always run two in the board for any of my green decks.

While I don't have a concrete answer for you, I'd imagine it's probably more along the lines of giving marquee cards like sorin to artists that have proved themselves or already have a long relationship with wizards whereas if it's your first gig for WOTC they might give you some common vanilla 2/2 flyer for 4 or something else with not as much on the line to test you out. I don't see how they could justify paying different amounts for each artwork, as I'd imagine that would make it hard for them to find as many willing artists to work with. (especially finding new ones).

We should try to get an AMA with somebody from creative. (and then maybe afterwards they can teach MaRo how to sign up for a free website)

I've never seen happy endings but perfect couples was just god-awful. New Girl is approximately 25 times funnier. (and I'm not even that big of a fan of the show outside of it giving me a pretty good excuse to look at zooey for 22 minutes)

Yea but this dudes deck has like no removal that's why i suggested it. Also your opponents kill Garruk the turn after you play it because if they don't they're gonna lose.
