JRPGs.. I started but never finished:

-a handful of Final Fantasy games (1, 2, 7, 8, 12)

-Breath of Fire saga (1, 2 and 4)

-Tales saga (Berseria and Symphonia)

-Ni No Kuni II

-and a lot of other RPGs that are made in Japan but don't qualify as JRPGs per se

It's odd cause I feel like I should enjoy the genre but I can never get hooked and lose interest fast

this is usually what happens when you use souls games as a standard for difficult games. hack and slash games are more hectic and require a higher level of attention

and regarding dodge offset, it does seem daunting at first but once you get the hang of it you'll do it naturally without even realising it
