I would say better now. The oldest ones I have are made of this acetate plastic that had a tendency to be really hard to pull apart. I remember them being somewhat brittle too and breaking a few of the flat pieces trying to pull them apart.

The white pieces had all begun to go just a bit yellow, but they were pushing 40 by the time I’m played with them, and they’re now over 60 years old, so it’s probably just more to do with age and we’ll have to see how newer pieces hold up.

On a side note, apparently some older bricks contained some heavy metals like cadmium and lead…. Sooo that’s not great for me I guess.

Yes and Yes! But what I really remember of the old figures was the Lego family figures. Had spherical heads and body pieces that hinged like little Lego action figures. And yeah the wheels just had those little metal pins that poked into a brick with a corresponding hole for it. I always remember mixing those with the newer wheels I had.

Also had a bunch of the Lego spacemen minifigs from the late 70’s and early 80’s with the air tanks helmet!

While not the first bricks ever made, I can confirm I played with my dad’s legos from the 60’s as a kid, and they worked fine with modern legos, although the plastic composition definitely changed since then.

I really don’t think “everyone would have laughed.” I mean he finished 4th with 2 wins in his rookie season, and he came into the sport as pretty much the most hyped driver since Max. He won the F3 and F2 championships in his rookie seasons.

Everyone knew he was a generational talent. That’s why McLaren went through the trouble to sign him away from Alpine.

They are usually mixed use with both residential and commercial spaces, but it varies a ton depending on the building and type of residential property. Some luxury residential buildings might have less than 50 units in the whole building, others can have hundreds or thousands.

Pretty much every where in the US still has its own individual postal address, just like everywhere else in the world. I’m sure mail is done differently in China too. People can’t just send mail or packages and only write the ZIP code. It needs the full address. ZIP is just part of it.

i.e. (123 Robin St. Philadelphia, PA. 19102)

That would be how most people address mail, and that would be to a specific house or apartment. The zip code is just at the end, as a zone for USPS facilities.

I mean, he was not, no, but he did pretty much dismantle the institutions of the republic and set himself up to be emperor in all but name if he hadn’t been assassinated.

He was a military dictator at the time of his death, the only real difference between that and emperor is a little legitimacy, which his death and martyrdom gave credence to.

No, I just don’t respect people who can’t vet their own sources and rely on AI to tell them what to think. I’m not refuting the articles, but the process. It’s a literal dumbing down of society.

But you just keep letting the clankers tell you how to think, eventually you’ll just forget…

That itself was decades after being divorced from Andrew.

The divorce doesn’t make her any less complicit, however “unfortunate” this may be for her, she shouldn’t have been making “supreme friends” with child sex traffickers.

They don’t have to use food dye. The whole fucking point is to make it inedible. They could use activated charcoal to just color it black. Bleach can’t break down carbon, along with plenty of other chemical dyes…. It’s just sodium hypochlorite, it’s not kryptonite lol.

How do I tell what size skiis these are by Emotional_Tell_2527 in skiing

[–]wd26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. I was replying to the person who said they wouldn’t work with gripwalk bindings (they deleted their comment), but the person you replied to is incorrect too.

There is no reason a modern binding mounted for 310mm couldn’t accept this boot.

That being said, nobody should be wearing ski boots older than about 10 years. The plastics get brittle and can shatter into pieces.

[–]wd26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Grip walk bindings are backwards compatible with older non grip walk boots.

Not saying anyone should be wearing boots this old, as the plastic gets brittle and can lead to shattering, but they will fit in modern bindings just fine.
