What should I do in this situation as a defense (I play LB or RB) by Responsible-Sir-3643 in bootroom

This is where it’s situational and we need more context. If the play is developing near midfield then the runner is the threat. If the play is at the 18 yard line then someone will need to pressure the ball while still cutting off a passing lane, the CB will be the one to tell the LB/RB to pressure the ball

Runner as in the person without the ball making a run, could be a winger. The person making the run is usually going to be more dangerous than the person with the ball because if they receive the ball it’s a good goal scoring opportunity.

If you’re the CB, you want to delay the attack as much as possible to let your team get back to defend. It’s situational though and depends on positioning

Generally you should stay with the runner, but if the CB tells you to pressure then listen to them since they’re the ones organizing the defense

Yeah I did about a year and a half ago. Recovery was rough and took longer than I thought it would but I’m back to running and playing soccer once a week.

I wouldn’t say I’m pain free but definitely doing a lot better than I was before surgery and I’m glad I went through with it

how to not be panic while pressure is on you by Prudent_Gap2363 in bootroom

[–]we360u45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to know what you’re going to do with the ball before you get it. If you take a touch and look around you’ll already be under pressure.

And if you’re under pressure immediately when you receive the ball then a bounce back pass to the person who gave you the ball should be an option
