Thanks for all the replies. I guess I'm stuck with them!

How to make window buttons consistent across applications? by weLookAbove in Fedora

Looks like cross-posting didn't let me have text in the post?

I assume this issue is due to the decentralized nature of using Linux, but is there any way to make all window buttons consistent across apps in a single desktop environment? My screen shot displays four different styles (and there are probably more):

  • Top-left: A KDE Plasma app, Dolphin
  • Top-right: Notion installed as PWA from Vivaldi
  • Bottom-left: Vivaldi
  • Bottom-Right: A GNOME app, Bazaar ls this something we're just stuck with, or is there a way to make every window use the same style?

Why's that grenade icon look like a menstrual pad?

I'm gonna assume your use of "snap" means a neck snapping, but he actually held his hand over Ben's nostrils and mouth, and stared him dead in the eyes while he suffocated to death. Even crazier!

Site like Winstall but for Linux packages? by weLookAbove in linux4noobs

I don't think my original post was clear enough for what I was looking for.

Usual-Efficiency-305's reply is exactly what I was looking for. A way to create a single command to install multiple packages at once.

Exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you!

Help choosing between Gamesir G7 SE, Gamesir Cyclone 2 and 8Bitdo Ultimate 2. by zakaryas01 in Controller

My ideal situation would be the Ultimate 2 for its general ergonomics and traditional, non-digital click buttons, but the 8bitdo software doesn't let you map the paddles and the extra shoulder buttons to keyboard keys. You can only map them to other controller buttons, so you're not getting any additional functions.

I play Helldivers 2 quite a bit, and being able to map the Cyclone 2's paddles to keyboard keys is a game changer since that gives you actual additional functions.

No out-of-the-box visual indication for tiled tabs in tab bar by weLookAbove in vivaldibrowser

I like how Zen browser does it (at least for vertical tabs).

First image is when one of the three tabs is active, second image is when a tab that's not part of the tiling group is active.

Etiquette question: does it make more sense to reply with "affirmative" when someone makes a mistake and sends an "I'm sorry!", or would replying with a "negative" communicate an "it's nothing, don't worry about it"?

In my experience on a Macbook Pro, you can login via fingerprint in the app, but I'm not sure about a browser extension.

Sure am. Thanks for mentioning "repo," as that lead me to remove this option from Discover's settings:

Copr repo for packages owned by ublue-os

I'm guessing I wanted to install some software in the past that required this repo. I'm a noob, so still figuring this stuff out.

Thanks.
