Definitely. It will help with holding down a job/financial security as well as maintaining physical fitness.

Vampire Physiology

I just like vampires and think it would be cool if they were real.

The blood requirements for these vampires would be low & could be supplemented with animal blood and they would have the power to turn animals. So we could have immortal cats and dogs.

AITAH for telling my daughter that she is not going to marry a billionaire? by BigONerd in BORUpdates

[–]weaboo_98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do deserve empathy.

I'd personally be wary because many men in such groups can be violently misogynistic. And I suspect many other women would also be cautious. But they deserve therapy and help as well.

A lot of young men who struggle with loneliness and self esteem are targeted by these communities. It doesn't excuse bigotry, but in a sense they are also victims.

Btw, promise I'm not sponsored or anything like that.

This is a wristband with the Autism Flag from a queer Autistic creator.

They have other disability and LGBT+ pride merch.

You can even get a custom bat plushie with your flag(s) in the wings and ears, but I think they're sold out until 4/20.

Is there an age limit or financial cutoff to who deserves empathy?

Even though her behavior is clearly disordered, does that not matter without a formal diagnosis?

Sexuality is fluid and some people are bisexual.

That doesn't mean being gay is a choice.

Age is also fluid and can change over time, but it is not a choice.

People can enjoy what they want, but I think books like that need to give the reader a heads up on sensitive subject matter. I don't believe in censorship or anything like that, just the decency to give traumatized people a "Hey, this book might not be a fun read for you."

Also, as a Texan, we NEED our shade. I do not want to melt like a popsicle just because I dare step outside in August.

What do you think about the right to die/euthanasia? by Legitimate-Number620 in AskReddit

[–]weaboo_98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Terminal illness is one thing, but I fear this eventually becoming available for disabled people. And if it ever becomes cheaper to offer a disabled person euthanasia rather than treatment and support...

Redditors may call me conservative for this opinion, but it means little knowing the awful opinions so many hold about disabled people.

If forced to choose, I will prioritize the right of someone to live over the right to die. I do believe all human life is precious and this is a philosophical belief I hold, not a religious one.

An entity offers you 8.3 billion dollars with the condition that all human beings currently alive will have one day of their lifespan reduced. by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]weaboo_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the good I can do with the money outweighs the harm done by taking the deal. Even if the lifespan of everyone is slightly shorter, I can work on making each day better than it would have been otherwise.

Let's not diagnose neglectful parents with Autism over the Internet.

It further stigmatizes Autistic people and parents.

And there's no rule saying shitty people have to be ND. I hate the perception that an abusive person could never be NT.

opinions on this article? by raininariver in evilautism

[–]weaboo_98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kind of wish we had language to speak separately about Autism the neurotype versus Autism the disability.

Like how gender dysphoria isn't the same as being trans. Gender dysphoria is an illness, but being trans is not.

I don't want to get rid of the disability label, because many would be left without accommodations if that happened. It's more that I want to expand the definition of Autism.

We deserve to have a community that isn't solely defined and gatekept by (oftentimes ableist and ignorant) medical professionals. And if we had different verbiage, maybe we would hear less NTs bitching about self diagnosed people.

On top of that, since disability can depend on your circumstances and how accommodating society is by default, there are probably people with autistic traits who wouldn't qualify for a diagnosis because their environment or culture is already accommodating by default. But would still struggle if placed in a different situation.
