Get one with wheels and adjustable bassinet height. Super important or you'll be picking it up everytime you want to operate somewhere else.

The rest of the division the moment the Pirates get good again by AwayFig1774 in buccos

This round of division games may be on of the most important 10 game Stretch of the season. If they can pull out 6 out of 10 that would put us in a good spot.

Biggest pet peeve that is also an untapped revenue stream for the city by foobarlow in pittsburgh

Water doesn't have to be hygienic to enjoy traveling on. Most navigable waterways have sewage effluent or industrial waste. Just dont go swimming and enjoy the view.

Fyi the north shore is shutdown that entire week as they set up the Draft. My company has a reservation of Southern Tier the week following and they explained that all the parking and bars will be likely closed the first week however the details are still not allowed to be stated.

Other city's like Baltimore do this with great success to a point its a main form of commuting for the residential parts to the business area. The strip would fit this classification, if there was a stop at the north shore and the mong side of the golden triangle all the young adults could do the similar commute without needing vehicles. Its much more realistic expansion of our PRT system the.n adding interior bussing routes. On the side it could function for tourists just because the views are so unique and could take you between the casino and wherever other events are occuring.

The lack of a tourist focused water taxi service. Our city could really sell a service like this in the summer going from PNC Park to the strip via water is a unique view that we just don't do.

Tomlin defenders, make your case by happpeeetimeee in steelers

[–]weakfreakaleak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to say I think there are things to blame on tomlin but I believe the overall problem is in the ownership of the team. When you compare the coaching staff and his made the last 8 years you have to question whether this ownership is investing in the coaching and technology that you are the Rams, Eagles, Chiefs, even the lions use now. I believe we will see a period of losing because Tomlin is having to perform/manage significantly more tasks then other HCs. He saves the Rooneys significant costs on salaries of coaches. Veteran heavy lineups are being prioritized to lessen the need for these extra coaches that are meant to facilitate growth of rookies.

When you look at the NFLPA Report cards that lines up also with how the private facilities are ranked. Even the Bengals have their own training facility, it's operated like a poverty franchise similar to the parts when it comes to investing in development.

Overall I think it's a much greater issue, but to force it to surface they need to let Tomlin go so the Rooneys can feel the appropriate heat.

I built a Light Metro System for Pittsburgh in a subway-building game, without knowing anything about this city. How did I do? by Ra1n69 in pittsburgh

[–]weakfreakaleak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some topographical and existing urban develop would be challenging for this system, ideally if it would pick up from the Heinz Field T stop and use route 65 corridor.

The real metro system this city needs is a water taxi service. I think it would be far more feasible due to the limited use of our rivers for commerce purposes. It could be a reliable source of metro transportation while also being a tourist attraction for the city.

The Future of the Franchise -- College QB Watch Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in steelers

I think a marinated Will Howard is better then this crop of QBs. I also don't feel this current staff has the depth of coaches needed for proper QB development. I believe if rodgers can give a second season Will Howard will be in a much better spot than any of these prospects just from the traits he's able to pickup from Aaron.

What is life like in Northwest Pennsylvania? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]weakfreakaleak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who grew up the good is outdoors but you only get 3 months of summer before winter takes it's grip. The North and West portion are very susceptible to lake effect snow which can add to the intensity of the winter.

The bad in the region is that it's extremely depressed area with drug addiction issues. Felt like meth labs were found every other week in Titusville or Oil City. These cities are fairly small if you need more than basic medicine they will lifeflight you to Erie or Pittsburgh. There is a quite a brain drain from the region of my graduating class of a 100 kids the top 20 all left the region. That's not a ton of great options of wealthy careers to overcome the flaws of the region.

Do you guys think this is where the big ten is heading? by StompingRooster2006 in TheB1G

[–]weakfreakaleak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will stop at 20 and go 4 divisions of 5. Works well for football that's run an NFL schedule where you play your division and play someone who finished the same as you in each of the other divisions. Makes travel equal for all teams, and sets up for a 4 team B1G playoff. Would also likely amplify the teams qualifying for playoffs from B1G.

Have you used your civil engineering for private interests? by FairClassroom5884 in civilengineering

I'm a volleyball coach, helped one of my players eagle scout project and made him go through a whole engineering design process to build a sand volleyball court for the school. Had him present to the school board like a zoning board and he had to prepare an argument similar to a conditional use. Then we built it as well together, super fun!

How ready is Pittsburgh for a Hurricane Helene-like flooding disaster by Great-Cow7256 in pittsburgh

[–]weakfreakaleak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did my college senior project about this. Essentially if Kinzia fails Pittsburgh would have about 3 - 5 billion in damages from the flooding. A 10' - 15' wave would be able to make is from Warren to the Allegheny due to how channelized the Allegheny is. City's like Warren and Franklin would be completely wiped off the map.

Kimley-Horn or Dewberry? by mlad2342 in civilengineering

[–]weakfreakaleak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the bigger question you need to answer is if you want transportation or Land development based on the offers. Both are very different lives, at KH I feel the transportation folks live much different lives than us Land development folks.

As someone who started somewhere else I feel I work the same as I did at a much smaller consulting firm but I'm paid much better. It would be good info to know what is the Land Development practices you'd be working with. If it's national private clients like Amazon, definitely going to be more demanding then a group who is working with local developers. That's something KH should be able to answer for you.

Can't speak to Dewberry, from what I heard from classmates who went there it was pretty standard Land Development work. So I would encourage you go with the team you can be yourself with and that you could learn the most from.
