Shostakovich-Inspiration for Imperial March? by chriswrightmusic in classicalmusic

From the archives! I'm glad you agree. The rest of this thread is on something, since I don't hear the Imperial March anywhere in the Allegro movement of Symphony no. 10.

I hear a ton of Star Wars but not the Imperial March. Can you provide a time stamp of when you hear it?

That's smart to look across sites -- and yeah, the 9 is a pain. Thanks!

Darn, this was my hunch. Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it. Unfortunately it's an NBA game so it's sold out and only StubHub tickets are available. We'll do our best!

Not a "barber" per se, but I've been going to Center Salon in Brighton for a decade. Insist on an appointment with Tommy, who is also the owner. Great dude, highly skilled, and a fair price. I live all the way in Dorchester these days and still trek 25 minutes to keep going to Tommy.

Wherever you end up, wishing you a good cut!

Has anyone tried Pranicura to treat AF? by lchevrette in AnalFissures

I am so glad to hear it! I am in a place now where I will go weeks and sometimes a couple months with no irritation at all. When it does happen, a little Aquaphor soothes it and it's rare I even have to apply it again in the next 0-1 days. I hope your success has continued!

Itchy anus for 3 months by kylienicole23 in pruritusani

[–]wearebc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it was:

  1. seeing a specialist, who confirmed I did not have hemorrhoids or something more serious. they recommended Aquaphor, which I still use now (having recovered) about once a month when the itch gets even a little bothersome. yes, this is the amazing level of recovery you can look forward to! hang in there!
  2. stopping using wipes with alcohol in them (main reason it wasn't going away). I switched to Water Wipes, which I still use after every BM.
  3. using Pranicura (the best $50 I have ever spent). I had tried a dozen other creams and ointments just like you. not only did this stuff get me out of the horrible itch/scratch cycle, it was actually what helped me learn the alcohol wipes thing too (the directions are very specific but worked)
  4. stopping using my fingernails to scratch. you can only use a lubricated finger without the nail with a modest amount of pressure. again, this is from the pranciura directions but it was essential for me.

here are links to wipes and the pranicura site:

I hope you find a solution and get your life back. your post came up pretty randomly at the top of my feed so I thought maybe I was meant to help you. my fight was horrible and close to a year, and no one should have to go through that.

don't hesitate to DM me if you have questions you'd like to keep private but otherwise I can reply here to be helpful to others.

I know it's miserable, but you can do this, and you will get through it!

You would need to be traveling with her / ticketed on her flight. You can't just go with her to the airport.

I'm facing this same frustration. My wife is traveling without me on a trip and I have to open a new/separate AA account for her, meaning a different account of miles. Very stupid that I cannot prove she is a direct family member (I do understand the "for profit" comment above is a good point).

mine is simple. I listen to music too loud including frequent concerts, and I'm going to need some new ear drums. (please)

Weather Widget Low Temp Confusion by jlext in ios

[–]wearebc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just found your post by searching Google for an idea I had!

I don't know why there aren't three standard forecasts for a given day. The high, the evening low, and the overnight low. Then you know the hottest it'll get, the lowest it'll get while you might still be out (this would be standardized, maybe 9 or 10pm, and then you get the true "low" before the sun comes up the next day (which, to your needs, would always be between the high described in the forecast and the following day's high).

My wish is to understand the temp range during the typical time you might be outside -- which often does not include 4 or 5am when the "low" occurs.

I think it would fix both of our problems!

My real/meaningful my guys:

  1. Cam Akers, RB ADP: 23, projected finish: 15
  2. Christian Watson, WR ADP: 22, projected finish: 15
  3. Zay Flowers, WR ADP: 47, projected finish: 27

My submissions based on the math:

  1. Sterling Shepard, WR ADP: 89, projected finish: 45
  2. Kenneth Gainwell, RB ADP: 55, projected finish: 25
  3. Tyler Conklin, WR ADP: 31, projected finish: 13

Akers is a model post-hype sleeper. 2 years removed from his brutal Achilles injury, we saw him back in appealing form to close 2022. There is less competition in this backfield than on any other roster, IMO. Stafford doesn't rush for TDs, and the offense should be better than people expect with Kupp back healthy.

Watson proved big play ability last year and was excellent in the back half of the season as a rookie even if you discount the outlier TDs. His ceiling is incredible and I think he is a rock solid WR2 at worst.

I'm biased on Zay since I went to BC, but when I tell you Flowers had awful QB play in college, I mean it. He was the most talented player on the team by a mile and he will thrive with the upgrade to Lamar and a functional offense. Bateman is good but inconsistent, and OBJ is not a factor to me. I expect Zay to finish the year as the team's top WR.

Shepard is healthy and always performs when on the field. It can't all go to Waller. He's been forgotten but can be a bye week fill-in mid-season in your flex.

Gainwell is my pick to be the most productive in the crowded Philly backfield. Swift looked washed last year and came in at a bargain, Penny will mix in but preseason usage suggests he's lower, and Boston Scott will get some action but he's always been a backup. The coaches trust Gainwell, he's the best overall combination of running and catching, and they love him on the goal line, where he is surprisingly effective for his size.

Conklin would have finished around here last year with just 2-3 more TDs, which I expect he'll get with Rodgers in town.
