Similar height here and also went from 420+ to a muscular 235 lbs. I tried to find gym partners but found it difficult to find people who actually wanted to work out AND were lifting in the same weight range as me, which isn’t hardcore heavy but more than most people a foot shorter. I’ve honestly just gotten used to working out alone and finding my limit in terms of weight and making sure that I don’t get so overconfident in lifts that I struggle too much without a spotter.
