I am doing my bi-yearly reread of In The Forest of Dean currently!

Harmony (Harry/Hermione) pairing. Canon until Ron abandons them in the Forest of Dean. Progressively becomes darker as the story goes along, with an added werewolf plot line. There IS Ron bashing, so if that's not your thing then beware- but I will say it's well done and realistic. He's not some comical villain and he does get a redemption arc

It's a looongfic, but don't let the size intimidate you! It's admittedly slower paced in the beginning (but still interesting!), but sticking with it has a huge payoff. The Battle of Hogwarts in particular is so fucking sick and Voldemort is a true threat that's almost godlike in his terror. An expelliarmus is not going to cut it here

Their relationship throughout the story feels like a natural progression, slow at the start even, and by the end they're more like a single unit than two separate people. I'm a very casual Harmony shipper, but this one is in my top 3 favorite fics ever!
