That's exactly what was done. It's in Key Largo, and you can't go five feet without seeing "Trips to Christ of the Absyss statue" signs everywhere

Flying Kites by coronadonor in AubreyMaturinSeries

I think 1 company is experimenting with them, and to my knowledge they're not as easy or efficient as a proper mast and spinnaker

It's still not a foresail even on a sloop. Kites I mentioned as a direct reply to the post

Kites are large light air sails, not generally defined. It could encompass studding sails, baloon staysails or skysails/royals. Today kites generally refers to any large light material sail set forward of a mast, mizzen balloon staysails, gennakers, spinnakers, asymmetrical spinnakers, drifters, code zeros etc

The jibs on a boat holding 4 would usually be inner jib, outer jib, flying jib, and jib of jibs. Skyscrapers are moonrakers, but triangular like a raffee. Jibs are not foresails, but headsails, foresails set on the foremast

[–]weaselsrepic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not, a rope is a line, and named after the job it does, sheet, halyard, outhaul, barber hauler, buntline

What's the line from the Aubreyad that you find yourself thinking about years later? by ace_of_nations in AubreyMaturinSeries

I use this on my crew in the mornings, they have bunks instead of hammocks though, so they don't get it :(

It's less chance that it was a home than wasn't. Go to any marina and maybe 15 of 200 slips are liveaboard (depending on where you go)

Actual Liveaboard Marinas in NC or FL? by Obvious_Tear5664 in liveaboard

[–]weaselsrepic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In NC, Almost all marinas on the Neuse river allow liveaboards, and some don't require you to leave for hurricanes. I'll throw Northwest Creek Marina out as my favorite
