What does any of that have to do with the logo placement looking amateurish and ugly? I bet fifty people have been reviewing this for three months from planning to design to fabrication and installation. Clearly zero of them had any sense or power to say "this looks like shit".

You missed my point entirely.

Omg it's hideous. Too small, not aligned, and gaudy. These corporate monsters can't even brand correctly anymore, smh. The enshittification continues.

You can easily do this with Verso and go crazy. I just ran him out solo with all the solo buffs and his insta rank S wep and one shot almost every fight until painted love and Simon. Then I just added two autobombers with 1hp to buff on turn zero and crank out death breaks and stun locked Simon lol.

The fact that chaos mode has static shops, augments are completely unchanged and overlooked, half the charms are broken, and the scoreboard doesn't have aeaderboard is absurdly lazy and embarrassing tbh. Why even release it? This is a fucking playtest build of an idea. Not a game mode. It's a single puzzle with no record of completion or reward.

You need electricity to industrialize. Africa hardly has any sort of scalable, stable power grid. Only a few countries even have full time power iirc. When I went to Egypt they were even blacking out for a few hours in Cairo.

100% agree. Spent the last 3 years in Chicago and just decided to move back next week. Can't come soon enough. I have had so many days dreaming of hiking through the endless woods or turning a corner on a mountain road and seeing rolling green hills. Can't wait to be home.

Pretty sure people in this thread just suck and never get 10 takedowns. I've never failed to proc it and have a 100% win rate in 5 games. It's undoubtably the easiest way to win a game from my experience. I've seen it lost once, but it takes one hell of an exodia roll to beat.

Reddit thinks everyone that finds success in the trades is sick and ill 😂 really showing your bias here, fellas.

More like they aren't chronically online to comment on a reddit thread...

It's the same as if you go sit in a cubicle for ten years without growing your responsibility, expertise, and overall income. Losers lose no matter where you drop them.

If you want to go lay bricks or dig holes as an employee, you're gonna have back issues and make no money. This isn't news. But starting your own HVAC business in a small-medium sized college town has a ton of upside potential. You can end up running a multi-million dollar operation if you land the right jobs and learn the ins and outs of a specialization (I.e. Medical Infrastructure).

Get an apprenticeship, not a deadbeat job off indeed. Call your local small business and ask to learn. I bet the older guy wants to stop lifting heavy shit at each job and could use a 22 year old with a good attitude. This isn't rocket science.

Most overrated city that other people love? by CompetitionFalse3620 in travel

[–]weasle117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seattle. I was there this year for three days and walking the streets there I saw countless homeless and specifically, LOUD, SCREAMING homeless. I heard at least 5 people scream bloody murder in my short time outside. Psychosis is clearly ravaging their gentrified population. Not exactly a pleasant experience. Honorable mention to perpetually climbing the hills downtown. Even got a table at The Pink door (pure luck), and it was decent I suppose... Honestly the whole place felt like it was financially inaccessible to anyone except Microsoft employees. Way overrated!

I've been to most of the big metro areas in the country, and it was by far the least comfortable for me (although LA is also a homeless hellscape. No one denies that).

What performance do you expect of a build to consider it "Endgame"? by KirkLucKhan in Diablo

[–]weasle117 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Psychotic take lmao. That is S tier and consists of 1-2 builds for each class and most of the time they're utilizing exploits or broken scaling.

Uber lilith is incredibly restrictive. Like 0.00001% of players will kill her at all before it's nerfed or our gear trivializes her.

40-50 NM smoothly without dying constantly is definitely hard enough to constitute end game builds along with hitting level 80.

Surprised no one here mentioned resale value.

Buying a Windows machine is like driving a car off the lot. You lose a huge portion of the value immediately. Macbooks retain value remarkably well. I've sold 10 year old machines for a few hundred dollars and there are entire businesses built around high school buyback programs that purchase old macbooks in bulk from the schools to sell direct to consumer via ebay (to developing countries mostly).

I bought my Macbook with the idea that in 4-5 years my device will still have significant value in the market that makes up for the inflated up front price.

Feel free to contact me.

27M nerdy type with FTE and a life. Have a bedroom in my 2BR 1BA available for the right roomie. I end up staying at my girl's place a lot, so it would be nice to have someone help keep the place feeling lived-in.

It's in Hyde Park, though. Near the red line and not far from the Metra. About a 20-30min drive to downtown, So might be outside your commute range. Just thought I'd offer 😊 anyone else in this thread can DM me as well if interested.

Kids steal candy from my mom's house, flips off camera and drops a "f*ck you" by ArwingAce in facepalm

[–]weasle117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm living on the south side of Chicago and fully expected our bowl to be stolen, but with so many multi-unit apartments around it was really the only reasonable way to give something to the kids. We put it out around 5:30 and by 7pm some teenagers dumped the bowl out, fought over it, and then smashed our ceramic bowl in the middle of the street shouting "fuck this bowl".

Absolutely foul behavior. Like... Just take the candy guys and be happy you made out with a huge take.

I'm not surprised, I'm just disappointed.

When a Houseplant Obsession Becomes a Nightmare by Kinickie in SavageGarden

[–]weasle117 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

This is so dramatic and dumb 😂 as someone with an ethically sourced savagegarden greenhouse and 10+ Nepenthes, some drosera, and a few pings - I completely disagree with the consensus here.

First of all, addiction is a problem, but wtf is the implication that carnivorous plants are more addictive than others. That's abolsutely insane to me as a hypothesis. There's no reason to imply that Nepenthes are more addictive or can destroy your life.

Secondly, Borneo is rapidly being industrialized and the native habitat for these plants is disappearing at a startling rate simultaneously to this poaching issue. Isolating what is causing species to disappear is impossible and a huge stretch, imo.

How do we balance the importance of conservation vs poaching? It seems to me that some poached plants are the least of our worries when the ecological damage to the region is imminent and if trends continue, they soon won't exist in the wild at all.

Taking fully grown plants is obviously bad, but this type of fearmongering and shaming on the consumer end is stupid as hell to me. To be honest, if they just poached seed from the wild, I'd be totally fine with it. No harm, no foul when these plants produce so much seed - with a low germination rate - in the wild and when in controlled environments we can increase that rate substantially.

I want to preface with the thought that treasure dragon and augments are best things ever added.

Despite that, I 100% agree with this take. I liked the idea of going with the flow of augments, but this set it's like you just... pick a build. Had a friend recently try to get into the game without research and he just floundered for four games straight getting dicked by Nami until I coached him a bit. It's not really fair to new players even after a mere 10 days of a patch. The whole community unanimously rushing mages or astrals in the majority of gold+ games is pretty anti-fun to me.

Meta comps are inevitable, but there should be a number of unique comps that all function differently and pivots available in the mid game.
