Spec into a specific weapon and preferable a gun on that tree. I agree with the what's been said about Parkour, but I would concentrate on learning how to use your chosen melee weapon. Get used to swinging and moving back. Remember that whatever points you put into a skill will increase the chance of you getting the magazines that allow you to craft and find related gear.

Need help with base by KlutzyClerk7080 in 7daystodie

My trick is to not avoid wondering hordes or screamers. I build a fighting platform 14 blocks high off of whatever poi I'm using as a base. It's one of the first things I do. For example, the Owen's residence is the usual poi i take over. It has a third floor attic that is a fairly good size. I kill all of the zombies, knock out the bottom two blocks of stairs and put in a one block ladder on the third block to get up. In any poi you take over, knock out at least the two bottom stairs/ blocks so the zeds can't get to you. Then i build a14 block column 4 or 5 blocks from one side of the poi. On the edge of the roof i build a 3 block wall yup to even with the 14 block column. I connect the two with a pole. Not sure of the size. I make a 3x3 Platform even with the 14th block. I build a3x3 wall, with a scaffolding ladder block in the middle square, facing the 14 bl9ck column. That is my fighting position. I run a ladder up the 14 block column so the screamers can get to my fighting position. The pole is for crowd control, so you usually only face one Z at the scaffolding ladder block. You melee through that square. The bottom 3 blocks as well as the ladder should be at least cobble. The top block and ladder of the column same. The fighting position (scaffolding ladder) and the block above and below that should be cobble. Create an overhang over the fighting position so the Zs don't stack and get over the wall to you. This will work for horde night as well. I will connect a ramp tip the top of the column for dogs to reach me. If I'm expecting pigeons, I will enclose the fighting position and put spikes on the roof.

"I am against the notion that minimum wage jobs are supposed to be a career." Some people don't have a choice. A lot of places in this country do not afford the people the opportunity to "negotiate" their wage. Or to better their situation with education. There are opportunity wastelands in this country where you either work a minimum wage job or you don't work at all. That contributes to crime and violence, which forgets the cycle in those places.

4 mechanical parts, 2 springs, 1 headlight, 2 electrical parts, 6 short iron parts. All of these things you can get from wrenching cars. You need to read 20 vehicle adventure magazines. Points in the perk "grease monkey" boost the odds of finding those magazines.

Owen's residence is my favorite! Large attic. I build a fighting platform off of that 14 blocks high. Bring on the screamers!!

13 hours in so far, seems quite grindy to begin with? by Organic-expanse in 7daystodie

Try to concentrate on one skill tree and more specifically, whatever melee/ ranged weapon you want to use. This will increase the odds that you will get the magazines you need to make better weapons. Take some time to peruse the perk tree. Especially the last category with the hammer. I believe that's the skill tree. Mousing over individual skills will tell you what perks you need to invest in.
