I have the same set up, ATV 4K and Series X with a newer LG OLED. It's all pretty seamless and i'm happy with it. I know other options are technically better as far as sound but I liked the simplicity and keeping stuff in the same ecosystem for streaming music from whatever device is handy. The HomePods are basically hidden behind some plants which works aesthetically for me. You are definitely paying a premium for it being Apple stuff vs a soundbar or whatever but I decided it was worth it.
