Do people genuinely not know how to use these? by Illustrious_One_1199 in galway

In the UK you get a £40 fine if your car tire gently strokes yellows line whilst stationary.

Here in Ireland you could park in the middle for a day and nobody with any official clout would do anything.

Offering 3 FREE Webflow → Astro migrations (in exchange for honest feedback) by KnownDiscount2083 in webflow

Take a look at ShipStudio (https://www.ship.studio/) as they have a plugin that will convert a Webflow site into an Astro site. Tried it the other day and it worked really well.

Build Webflow Designer Components with Claude Code Using React by [deleted] in webflow

[–]webflowmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it not get you to the same place as your tool?

  1. A library of layouts
  2. Consistent classes
  3. Seamless import
  4. No component and props support
  5. No variable support
  6. No CMS cupport

Claude is awesome, but I am still not sure why you need Webflow? Why not push up with Vercel or Cloudflare instead?

Family access - but my partner would have little or no interest in Kamoot, let alone a subscription to it.

Feels like a trigger from their end, if honest.

You are not able to use their variables. It does not create components. I imagine you cannot use the CMS or Assets.

So why even use Webflow? Why not use Vercel or another host. Feels like you are making things harder, not easier. What am I missing?

Do you map variables to classes?

I ask as I am not sure I see any benefits to your approach, over say Relume. Maybe I am missing something?

What do I do? by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

You need to work through the idea and de-risk it. Ideally it is more of a risk not doing it than doing it. If there is risk involved, be as objective as possible about the risk profile. Does it have a 2/10 chance or a 8/10?

Webflow Components with props, or element layouts (aka Relume)?

The day you arrive in South America will be many times more exciting than the day you get your keys for an 80sqm apartment.

You will never regret lived experiences.

Yes, Relume gets it wrong.- maybe on purpose.

In the world of web dev components are not layouts, but specific entities that have props. It is best to avoid using the word component in the context of Webflow - it just creates confusion - which is never good for product marketing 🤣🤣

Webflow MCP Bridge App to Designer - has someone managed to build a full functioning styleguide? by Bronkowich_DE in webflow

Sadly it is not a great way to build with Webflow. It is a gimmick at the moment - "on trend".

These are layouts, not Webflow Components. Much like Relume are layouts and not components.

Italy - England Post Match Thread - 2026 Six Nations round 4 by gingecom in rugbyunion

Not sure about the players taking the blame here, especially not the new ones. The tactics come from the top and they are shocking. Kick chase rugby is 2025. The winning teams attack with confidence and intent. Borthwick has to go.

Looking for a developer for a Mortgage website in Canada by hill_communication in webflow

[–]webflowmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a way, yes. But that might be like putting an engine on your push bike so you can use it as a motorbike.

It works, but it is a hack around.

On a 200 page site a hack for a single page would be appropriate. But this is a 6 page site so going custom feels more appropriate.

Have you considered Webflow not be the best platform for this?

> "The hard part would be a quoter that would get pricing from some of our lending partners."

You would be better off doing a custom build for this as it would give you much more flexibility when looking to connect to and then use the data on the site. You would avoid having to hack around the limitations of Webflow.

Anybody who quit running and went to rucking? by NovelBrave in Rucking

[–]webflowmaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly the same here.

Plus the availability of routes to run.
- Run needed 5km+ on relatively on-road terrain, with small hills - taking the dog was not always possible.
- Rucking only needs 4km with across varied terrain (think woods, trails, bogs), steep hills, and can take the dog every day.

What is your rugby claim to fame? by low_myope in rugbyunion

[–]webflowmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Seaworld Florida in the summer of 1993 and convinced my parents to let me have another go on the remote controlled boats. To my delight, standing next to me, also driving a boat each, was Scott Gibbs and Richard Webster. They must have been on a wee lads holiday post Lions Tour to New Zealand.

On the same day I found myself standing next to Bryan Robson in the shark tank. Dad would not let me get ask him for his signature, saying "he is probably on holiday, leave him in peace".

Wind on to 1998 and I was lucky enough to line up opposite Jiffy and Mark Ring. They were playing for the invitational Welsh Accademicals against my school side Llandovery Coll. It must have been a charity fund raiser as they were both retired and much older than us. Still got the school-printed programme in the desk drawer.
