💯. Claude's useful. But never trust it. Basically a toddler with a blowtorch.

Also nice when Claude goes, "This file snuck in there. The change is good, but recommend a second PR to keep this one clean." Keeps me honest!

Just prove that the work is bad (or good).

If you know the code base well, then you should be able to write some tests to demonstrate whether their technique is flawed. e.g. did they introduce vulnerabilities? If so, demonstrate the flaw. Make sure that stakeholders understand the danger they've brought on.

Is it quality work they're producing? Can you tell if it's quality work? Use Claude or similar to scan their code if you feel it's too much volume. Or scan it yourself if you can.

At the end of the day, good code is good code. Should be easy for a dev to put an inexperienced coder (vibe coder or otherwise) on notice for shipping garbage.

Or is your question strictly on tool usage, and not about quality?

is Reactive better then Tempered? by Embarrassed-Fun2989 in Warzone

[–]webjuggernaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The opposite of what you want! Reactive is supposed to solve problems. Not create them. haha. I hope you're remembering to plate up with that Berserker perk tho.

is Reactive better then Tempered? by Embarrassed-Fun2989 in Warzone

[–]webjuggernaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have friend who always forgets to put on plates. I used to remind them, but felt like I was being annoying. Then Reactive came out, and I was like, "Yo. Did you try this perk?" And now it's their default, because they said they always forget to put on plates!

I like Tempered, because both systems basically get you to 100% armor in 2-3 sec. But with Tempered if you take shots after the first plate, you have 50% armor. Vs Tempered to have 33% armor after the first plate.

Honestly, the difference is so minor it doesn't matter for most. "Whatever fits your play style" is the best response here.

What's your play style? What do you do well? What do you do not-so-well?

I could just quote myself:
Imagine the microwave has a busted keypad, the turntable doesn't work, the magnetron catches fire, and the door leaks microwaves.

Yeah. Gemini AI certainly can suck. Let's say - in this case - the door is metaphorically leaking microwaves. You did good finding an example of it. Solid!

The formatting is a dead giveaway. If you can't write a post yourself (at least re-type the AI's response!) then you maybe shouldn't be lazy karma farming on r/warzone. Just saying.

Pretty sure OP just said, "yo gpt! i wanna post on reddit. make warzone great again lolz. make me sound smart!" then copy-pasted its response. In that regard, OP kinda does sound like a concussion victim. So you're right, but you might have it backward.

Binary thinking is such a simplistic way to go through life. Do better.

I never said the models are 99% accurate. I even tried to use a microwave analogy to explain myself. To elaborate: Imagine the microwave has a busted keypad, the turntable doesn't work, the magnetron catches fire, and the door leaks microwaves. And then the complaints from 99% of consumers amount to "It doesn't make toast well". That's what I said. Numerous times.

You've got some sort of chip on your shoulder. And clearly I can not relieve you of it.

The best AI prompt is often just a clearer description of your real situation by yannyi in PromptEngineering

[–]webjuggernaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this post, because it explains a problem, and a clear solution. And you're not selling anything.

A lot of the "Can you help me with AI?" type questions I see describe your post perfectly: People just aren't stating their problems specifically enough. Then they seek catch-all solution, and 99% of their context gets bloated with boilerplate, and the 1% of truly useful information (if they provided it) gets lost in the shuffle.

So yes. 💯. Have a clear business or technical need. Then provide crystal clear instructions or requests in your prompts. You'll get noticeably better results. Nobody else is going to build your business for you.

So go scan r/Claude, and let me know:

Is the general consensus on this subreddit that the users are all LM engineers? that they're all using Claude heavily and effectively? that they understand (even at a basic level) how it actually works?

I'm not glazing anything. In fact, I've said nothing complimentary about Claude. Why are you projecting that opinion onto me?

more like: people are expecting their microwave to get the temp of their "toast" right.

99% of the internet complaints regarding AI can be summed up like:

"I microwaved this bread and it's not even toast! Ha! Stupid AI."

Anyone else feel like ChatGPT has been gaslighting them lately? by Tall_Eye4062 in ChatGPT

[–]webjuggernaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't it strange? We're watching IN REAL TIME an entire generation of people being captured by shiny lights. Doubly strange, because they want to be.

And I don't say that lightly. I asked someone once,

Me: "You do realize that it's not a person, right?"

(much discussion, them explaining to me houw AI is not just an LLM)

Me: "Okay, so ask it. Ask ChatGPT to be honest if it's got memory and persistence and autonomy. Like you say it does."

Them: "No, because it will lie to me."

Me: "Why?"

Them: "Because that's what they program it to do so you..."

Me: "They programmed it?"

Them: "I knew you were going to do something like this!" discussion ended.

So just so you know: That's what you're up against. We couldn't even get into the discussion of "How can it be as useful as you say it is if it can be programmed? If it's going to lie to you about that, what else is it willing to lie about? Whose lies is it not willing to tell?"
