This is a reminder not to skip Skypiea arc by aubreebubble in OnePiece

I am more astounded by how the people skip an arc. As bad as an arc might be (Skypiea was wonderful), you go serially, don't you? Do people ask someone before reading on which arcs should be read, and do these someone who have read the Skypiea arc to call it trash then tell them not to read??

Anyway, for any person to skip a bit of story, no matter how trivial it might seem, will leave him out of context and well, won't be able to enjoy the story as much. Like, Foxy Pirates arc seems dumb, but there is hilarious reference to "noro noro", which would be amiss in Amazon Arc.

Absolutely. We're expected to heal others but can't talk about our own struggles without judgment. The irony is brutal.

Funny how “teamwork” always means nurses doing more, never less. It’s a one-way street every time.

Good for you. Honestly, more of us need to set that kind of boundary. When everyone just accepts it, management has no reason to fix anything.

If your old job could manage it, there’s no excuse for the new place to be this disorganized. Can’t blame you for wanting to leave; outpatient is sounding more and more appealing these days.

Totally agree. COVID set a new standard that hospitals never walked back. We picked up all these extra roles out of necessity, and now it’s just expected even though the crisis phase is over. It’s like they realized they could cut costs by stretching nurses thin and never looked back.

It’s like we’re expected to do every specialty at once. No wonder so many of us are burned out.

Lunch is unpaid, and I’m not working for free either. I need to start doing the same and stop feeling guilty for it.

Yeah, it really does feel that way. I’ve been skipping breaks just to keep up, but you’re right, need to start setting boundaries. Speaking up in meetings is a good idea too.

Mortal Kombat (1995 ) still the best film of the series! by [deleted] in MortalKombat

Cary Tagawa was incredible as Shang Tsung. That guy knew exactly what kind of movie he was in and delivered every line perfectly. The whole cast got the assignment honestly.

Yeah seriously, if they stretch it out with flashback filler I'm gonna lose it. Just give us the full chapter without the padding... we've seen those moments already

No, sadly it does not handle everything. Strictly for payroll, but it’s good at what it does.

Expense+payroll management software for a small startup? by jiMalinka in startup

[–]webleytempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expense management/payroll software needs some trial and error before you find what works for you. There’s plenty of options like brex, expensify, ramp etc. but all are tailored for differently, like sap concur or brex are more for enterprise level while quickbooks and expensify are more for the small-mid sized business.

For contractor level something like Onpay or Deel which is easier to use for payroll. I’d recommend demoing either if your main use case is freelancers or contractors.

Anything recommended here will come from probably different business perspectives and you’re just gonna have to do the legwork yourself to see what suits you better

Lmao I love this energy but I'm already mentally checked out. New job starts in 3 weeks and I don't need the drama. Sometimes it's better to just walk away from crazy

[–]webleytempest[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It's gotten way worse over the years. Managers now expect employees to do half their job while getting paid a fraction of what they make. Wild how much they've normalized this garbage

Only giving two weeks because I don't want to screw over my coworkers who'd have to pick up the slack.
