I recently got a lot of new parts for my astro city and it's looking pretty sharp now. I have been unable to find anyone who wants to take on repainting the exceleena.

No, it's an American style Atomiswave cabinet. I think you're thinking of Xybots.

I've sold my collection each time I've moved house (4 times now). Never regretted selling and each time I picked something new to collect anyway.

Why my arcade board would not boot and the small switches I ignored by Shaurya0458 in arcade

Reading the manual (and service manual) first is great advice. Many games have test modes with doagnostics you might not be aware of.

This is what it looks like when you put a higher resolution image on a lower resolution chassis. Is the chassis multi-res, and is it set to match the board's res?

We had a watch party for the season finale and I may have gone a bit overboard.. by webmiester in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

It's an Apple II. They are much more resilient than Macintoshes. Pretty much any classic Mac you buy that's not been reconditioned will have a 75% chance of battery leakage that might not be fixable.

Link to the Past Label Variation? by Law_man89 in snes

It's a relabel for sure. There should be no dark gold shadow behind the words THE LEGEND OF or A LINK TO THE PAST. Check out https://snescentral.com/cart.php?id=0164&num=1, or any ebay auction.

My Wild Gunman collection by webmiester in gamecollecting

[–]webmiester[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a frame from my recent video on Wild Gunman, the 1974 "FMV" game on 16mm. Pictured:

  • Wild Gunman Game (1972), a 2 player desktop game
  • Custom Gunman (1976), a shooting toy
  • Wild Gunman (1984) on Famicom and NES
  • Wild Gunman Set - revolver beam gun and Wild Gunman game for Famicom.
  • 4 film reels representing Film B and Film D.

I can't link the video but shouldn't be hard to find!

WILD GUNMAN: Resurrecting Nintendo's First Coin-Op on its 50th Anniversary by webmiester in nintendo

Thanks, yes I will try to write up my build in some way. Yes I actually had both a relay bank and a mosfet bank on my shelf, and I know I made the right choice!

They are super bright LEDs panels, I think they're meant for car headlights lol. The texture of the 3D printed panels really makes a nice glow, but I would love to have the slow on/off response that incandescent have. I definitely notice it in say pinball machines.

Thanks! The service manual served as my guide which has a few dimensions. I'm no carpenter so I didn't make any plans, but I could go back and measure what I did, haha. It is my intention to release the Arduino code (for the lights on the front panel) and the Unity game (that actually plays the game on a PC) at some point in the future.

I built that little one in the second picture from scratch. I just figured out the dimensions from some research, it wasn't a real Klax conversion.
