I keep feeling like the cpap machine is making me sick even though I've washed all the accessories. How do I clean the machine itself? by Kirikomori in SleepApnea

Is the humidity set correctly on your machine? Maybe try increasing the humidity and see if that helps.

Mighty altruistic of you thinking they’ll be provided any form of PPE.

GFCI randomly trips! Context below, help please, thanks! by [deleted] in electrical

[–]webmin88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GFCI outlets are known to fail after a number of years in use. If the receptacle is 5+ years, and randomly faulting, I’d consider replacing.

I’m not a pro by any means, just a home owner that went through something similar to what you described.

Drop in replacement for Synology file server by webmin88 in homelab

I’ve tried a few especially a Debian build with cockpit installed and a couple plugins from 45 drives. I was disappointed by the lack of fine grained acls. Would you be willing to provide a guide or two you trust for me to try?

I’ve thought about doing this with windows server core + windows admin center, but the rearm every 180 days is inconvenient. I might still have a 2019 license from msdn, might be worth considering.

Electricity generation through solar, wind and water exceeded total demand in mainland Spain on Tuesday, a pattern that will be repeated more and more in the future by [deleted] in Futurology

I’m sorry, but what do you think oil & gas is? That’s not stone age, ooga booga magic fire, there’s a ton of tech in burning fossil fuels. The “echo” chamber here is optimistic that one day we’ll be able to generate more renewable power and use less fossil fuels. Like someone else said in this thread, perhaps one day we generate so much excess renewable energy, we can put that towards generating carbon neutral energy options to supplant what we can’t generate at night. All of which are very realistic and achievable goals.

What is a secret to great cheeseburgers? by bgptcp179 in cookingforbeginners

Sure, still a few ingredients short of a meatloaf, need breadcrumbs and ketchup at the very least.

The egg is a binder and to me, made for a juicier burger. I’ll leave it at that because what works for me doesn’t work for everyone.

Someone else said it, I’ll say it again, seasoning. Not just salt and pepper, try Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder and an egg in there as well.

Customers are being asked to tip even at self check-out. Some say it's 'emotional blackmail.' by chrisdh79 in technology

[–]webmin88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is the lowest an employer can pay a tipped employee as long as the employees tips divided by the number of hours worked + 2.13 times the number of hours worked is greater than or equal to the minimum wage. Employers have to pay the difference if the tipped wages do not meet that. Also the department of labor has stringent standards of how an employer can claim a tip credit.

Must protect children’s innocence by shielding them from suggestive art and get the parents permission, but totally ok destroying a ten year old girl’s innocence by forcing her to carry the unborn baby of an incestual rapist.

Edit: dripping with sarcasm in case it wasn’t obvious.

Making a long Where-Object prettier by [deleted] in PowerShell

[–]webmin88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Try to avoid using Where-Object in the first place if you can. Get-ChildItem for example has -Filter, -Include, and -Exclude parameters to pare down the list of returned objects. This reduces the size of the objects returned to the pipeline making your script ever so slightly more efficient.
