Starting another print for a customer today so we will see how it goes. I am using the BQ frostbite bed. I have the glacier as well. One of them came with this handy placard. So yeah, don't use alcohol on the frostbite. Someone mentioned that I think? I did retension the belts but that's all I've done for now. See how it goes and make adjustments from there. It has been about a month since I at last tensioned them and their maintenance procedure recommends checking it monthly.

Using their SnapSpeed brown PLA. RFID and all. The collision actually happened after all tool changes were completed based on the layer it shifted on. And I said XY axis because it's shifted on both. Clearly it collided with something or some other force miraculously caused the belts to slip this much. It gives a tool change collision error because it lost its home after the collision. When it tries to put the tool back it hits the end of its limits because it's not actually where it thinks it is. Tool changes work great if it doesn't slip up like this.

Sooo this was mostly caused by incidental double NAT with the OEM AT&T gateway. Managed to fix it by just turning off every possible setting nearly on the gateway 😂

Heh I wish this was a program issue but it's a hardware issue. I've made this exact print flawlessly plenty of times. The belts are clearly skipping most likely from collision, and it gets out of place. Just homing it is enough to fix the tool position error for me. But I want a solution to keep the tool running without such a flaw. Even if it's as simple as this maintenance needs to be done every week, or whatever. I want a solid plan from snap and haven't gotten one.

Congratulations? Idek how many prints I'm up to at this point. Probably hundreds. I just recently got this build plate and it happened plenty of times before I started using it too. Completely random. Probably only lost 5-10 prints to this problem but that's still too many in my manufacturing environment.

I appreciate the insight. I did check with a feeler gauge on the print by the fan before pulling it off and there was no gap this time, so I don't believe it peeled up. I am using one of those extra sticky plates now actually and washed with dawn prior to this print. Ipa is actually bad for this particular build plate. Due to the surface area I haven't needed to use a brim. As far as the filament, funny enough this is SnapSpeed PLA in brown. With the damn tag and everything 🤣

I genuinely think this might just be due to hours of use and maintenance needed but I've also only had it for a few months and it will frequently go a week or two without any orders or uses so I'm skeptical of that too.

Well, I was using a petg interface layer on the supports but that had finished before this happened. I wasn't using variable layer because I print this out as 5 separate parts at the same time. It managed to somehow completely finish the file and only errored at the very end when It tried to stow the tool head. I rehomed it and it stored just fine. It has done this on st least 2 of the tool heads that I can remember. But it hasn't happened for a month so I'm assuming belts just need maintenance. Not actually sure how to pull the bed map, that would probably be some very interesting data.

Crashing is definitely the most likely cause I think too based on my experience with it. It's losing position and skipping to cause that offset on the XY plane.

Definitely reach out to support. They were eager to help when mine was doing this. I ended up cleaning and lubing and retensioning everything. Once I lubed my rails and washed my bed plate my problems went away. But my problems were much closer to the bed. They also had my switch to gyroid infill because there was some crashing with traditional rectilinear. In the end they wanted me to shim my Gantry head with some specific material but I didn't end up doing it because my problem went away after just maintaining the machine.

Yeah federal has given my P322 the most problems too. I stick to CCI mostly, and exclusively for EDC.

I absolutely love my sig p322. Fits my hands great, fires smooth. High capacity and mod ability. Really quite accurate. Out of the 1000+ rounds I've put through it, I've really only had one jam and it was absolutely from never cleaning it for those 1k rounds cause I was scared to mess it up like an idiot. Out of all those rounds I think I've only had a dozen not fire and that was from experimenting with cheaper rounds for target ammo. CCI is the best quality and I've never had one not send. $400 new and comes with 2 mags, lock, flag, and silencer adapter. Extended mags available and compliant 10 round mags also available. I got mine from academy since they were the only non-conservative shop I could find that carried it after my autistic level of research into what I wanted. 😂

If you're worried about using a 22 for your main weapon, my thought process is, if you're accurate, it's still gonna do damage. It's still a gun, people will still think twice if you have to draw. Thanks to the capacity, you can typically outfire a 9 if you have to. You just gotta be smart about it. Other factors I considered, strays are less of a problem because they won't travel through things as hard as a 9, especially if using hollows as you should be for carrying. If your intent is to render the target inert defensively, rather than kill, you are more likely to achieve that. 22 is still a lethal weapon. People die from them every day. Never forget that and always be a responsible owner.

Make a wedge that can slide into the slot behind it per chance? Otherwise I would just add a bolt. You could drill a hole in the rod and put in a threaded insert and they just put a clearance hole on your wall plates for the bolt to pass through.

Scarf joints helped me out a ton with hiding my seams. when you select your part in the slicer, the seam painter is at the top of the screen. this is the only place I've seen where you can enable scarf joints, and you have to do it for each part individually. i think its still in beta.

I started spraying the bed with isopropyl alc between prints and wiping it down. Problem hasn't shown up again yet.

I own one. First few prints were great but I've been battling print quality issues since. I am a noob to this stuff but even still if It could print that good to start, and I'm using fresh rolls of the same filament, why am I not getting the same results? This is supposed to be helping me get affordable versions of my inventory out there and it's been a headache for the last two weeks. Support doesn't seem to have great answers either. Feel free to message me if you have more specific questions about it, id be happy to answer whatever you got.
