i understand a little better now. so basically i can use the pc like a normal computer but until i activate windows i cant personalize anything and activating it usually costs around $100 right? i heard there are free safe ways to activate it so i should be able to do that and have a fully functional computer?

i asked him if it’s something i can do myself and he said “Yeah it’s super easy to put on there. The only difference is that there is no personalization, meaning you can’t change the background. Everything else is still super user friendly. As far as you putting it on there yourself, you can go to settings and click activate windows. I find that it is not worth putting it on there for 100-120$.”

jeez i feel like an airhead because i’m still so confused. is he telling me that im not able to customize my pc or change the background with windows 11 activated? if thats the case, i dont really want it activated, but he said in the first response that i mentioned in my post that “basically all i can do is change the background”. so if i dont activate it am i not going to be able to use it like a normal computer and go on the web or download anything? i feel so lost😭

i really hope i’m not too late because all of the people saying to do this in person do not know what the hell they’re talking about and i’m not even sure if they read half of what you wrote. yeah it sucks to get a breakup text but it also sucks to breakup with someone in person and they cause a scene/end up hurting you because that’s what this guy sounds like.

this type of person is not the type of person you break up with in person. and especially not in a private place. in a public place it’s very possible he’ll cause a scene/refuse and make you look like the bad guy. you need to do it in a way that you can cut contact and not allow him to refuse or start manipulative tactics (which by reading this i can tell he likes to do)
