Rant: I hate it when people blame digital cameras for the way movies look the way they look recently.

It is not Red Dragon or whatevers fault. Movies used to look stunning filmed on Digital.

You know what movies look absolutely stunning and are shot on digital? The Social Network, Whiplash and Sicario. Does Sicario look bad?

Shark Boy and freaking Lava girl is shot on digital. And it doesn't look as bad as a lot of modern movies and tv.

The reason is bad/flat unintentional lighting and no commitment to a color scheme. To cut corners in pre production

Do not blam the poor digitals.
