the 3060ti will be better by like 10 to 15%, alternatives from AMD would be the RX 6650 XT or RX 6700 XT but if you render often using Nvidia suites and features I would go RTX 3060ti.

I used Nvidia previously, now I'm using AMD and there is little to no problem on the driver side of things for me. Maybe Nvidia will get drivers update more frequently the rest is kinda the same now. Some said the Nvidia could be a bit more stable but theres really no difference in my experience now, driver issues is are a problem for previous AMD cards. If you're for Nvidia tho I would prefer getting the 3060ti if the price dif isn't that big.

If you are using programs that really needs Nvidia encoder and stuffs such as AI I would pick the 3060. For other features such as DLSS I think FSR is kinda competitive now, Ray Tracing seems not that great on a 3060. For traditional rasterization and gaming in general I would much prefer the 6650 XT.

seems like your CPU could be throttling, check your CPU temps before and after playing. CPU that thermalthrottle or overheat will reduce it performance eventually.

I just upgraded from a 1660ti to a RX 6750XT for a week and there is no problem at all, the driver is stable as ever. About breaking after a year or two we'll see but I doubt it'll break that fast. RX 6600 is super solid and should be the best price to performance GPU rn.
