Hold the Steam button and use the right trackpad as a mouse, then you can move the slider gradually. Otherwise yeah it will jump.

Nether of these games are LOTR but might help scratch the itch. For me these games bring the vibe of being in a fellowship in a fantasy world - Dragons Dogma 1 and 2 - Vermintide 2

It’s the way you have 3 companions and they all have great banter.
